Been doing genealogy since 2000. Been photographing tombstones since 2002.|
If you take a picture of a marker you should check the plot for other members of that family. Normally all members of a plot are family members even it they may have different surnames
To me the plot is more important then the one grave. If you find more family in the plot and want credit for them tell me and I will add the memorials and request pictures.
If I take a marker I will always check the area for more members of the family or take the others in the plot.
If you want a high-resolution image I keep the photo about a month or so. Or if local I can get them again.
Please note: Only speaking for myself and the photos that I take. Findagrave does have rules you should be aware of regarding copy or using photographs posted. Copywrite laws, etc. Please do not take this as permission for all photos at findagrave.
I am giving my permission for you to use my photos in any way you see fit for your family. To me they are just a rock with letters on them.
Request for Family Links / Transfers
I have been getting a number of weird requests in the last few months.
1. I double check all requests.
My checks many times add family links to the memorials.
2. If you tell me they are your relatives. I must assume they are my relatives too. I have the better claim. Tell me how your related!
On ancestry.com they have "U.S., Burial Registers, Military Posts and National Cemeteries, 1862-1960", don't trust the index, LOOK at the IMAGE!

Apparently you have not been to the old Town of Milwaukee cemetery north of Bayshore mall. It looks like a city dump.
Hi Phillip, once again huge thanks for taking more pictures. They are always so nice. Hopefully I will have my family all located soon.
Thanks Phillip for the picture. Went to Holy Trinity yesterday. An acquaintance from the Milwaukee Genealogical Society was saying that that cemetery was not in good shape with the old headstones. I was pleasantly surprised to disagree with him. I think it is well kept up and the graves weren't bad. If he wants to see some bad graves go down to St. Adalbert in the corner of 13th and Howard.

Excellent! Thank you so much for your help!

Thanks for the pictures and the info yesterday about Holy Trinity. Always thought it was in the southwest corner near 13th and Howard. I was going to run over today but it seems to hot and humid. Frank
Thank you Phillip!
Thank you once again for fulfilling another one of my photo requests. I greatly appreciate it.
Any idea what/who is behind the flowers?

You are very welcome. I can transfer if I didn't already. I wanted to ask you where exactly Holy Trinity cemetery is? I thought you went to Saint Adalberts you went in on 6th street. If you wanted Trinity you went on 13th street. The sign on 13 th street said Saint Adalberts. Went close to the corner of 13th and Howard. I have a nephew that died in the 1950's and he is in Holy Trinity. I took some pictures near there but online says it again was Saint Adalbert.
Philip, thank you for posting the great shots of these veterans. We appreciated it.

There could be a George and Kathleen Harvey buried nearby. George was John's brother. He was born in the 1920s and died in 1973.
