I have a so-far casual interest in genealogy which Find a Grave and Ancestry.com help keep alive. Taking the photos will hopefully help me to be more adept at navigating cemeteries.

Thanks for taking the photo of JOHN Whalen (1893-1966), but the photo was attached to the wrong memorial for JAMES Whalen (1930-1985) 103376648. Their pictures are switched, here is the other memorial: 2930394

Dear Mr. Blackwood,
Thank you so much for taking the photo of my uncle's gravestone. He has been a total mystery to my family.
The last time anyone ever saw him was right after World War ll, which was before I was born. He was one of 10 children, 9 boys and one girl, my mother. He was the youngest in the family, and he and my mother were always very close, as she was the next in age to him. She always wondered what happened to him and why he never contacted anyone.
At least now I know where he lived..and died.
Thank you again.

Thank you very much for photographing and posting the headstone for Robert Ellis.

I notice your comment about taking photos of headstones helping you to navigate cemetries, etc. Well, it helps us, too! Win - win.

Thank you so very, very much for taking these photographs for me. I have been helping a dear friend with her family history and due to your immediate response to my request, I was able to include it in the ring binder I presented to her and her husband earlier tonight. She is thrilled beyond belief, as those are photographs of her parents markers. Since we live in the South, I was unable to do this myself. Thank you again for making the effort and taking the time to do this! It is so appreciated.
