Bio Photo The human stories and history that can be found in cemeteries have facinated my husband and I for years. We are happy to share this facination with the Find A Grave community. Please contact us if you have any additional information to add to our memorials. Also, please feel free to use our pictures to enhance your family histories. A credit would be nice but not a requirement.

Theodore W Grasser
Hello.

When a listing was created for T W Grasser, in 2010 there was a typo omitting the "r" in Grasser. That listing was established 3 years before your listing and there is a photo.

Find A Grave requests the newer or duplicate be removed.

I have since made the necessary suggestion to correct the earlier listing. I was working on the Gasser name in Colorado and that is how I first came upon it. If you search for T W Gasser, today, you may find it in Colorado.....

Thank you and have a great day!

Molly

RE: CA or AZ?
Not nearly that many! But something close to 400,000, from what one of the memorial counselors told me once. And they have a lot of room to expand; they are already building several new mausoleums where there used to be roads in between various plots. And they aren't sold out at Grandview, Cascade Gardens, Sunset Mission, and many other locations. I bought my crypt in Sunset Mission a few years ago.

Keep in touch! I'm adding you to my Friends list.

RE: CA or AZ?
Oops, I goofed. Should have read your message again before responding. You did say Sunny Slope, not Sunrise. Sunny Slope is a nice old plot with all those old uprights. A lot of it was done many years ago, but I think someone just went through and was photographing the uprights, rather than making the flat markers presentable for photos. Many people can't get down and clean or trim. I've done some along the bottom edge, when I had photo requests in the area I would always take extras, so you will find some are done, many are not. As far as the office personnel seeing you: They know who we are and what we are doing and they are fine with it.

The Mausoleum of the Golden West has a lot that is not done. I transcribed, but did not photograph, the first hallway on the right of the Cenotaph Entrance, the Sanctuary of Rest. It was just so dark that I could read the names using a spotlight, but many of the photos were awful. I also transcribed/photographed almost all of the Sanctuary of Fidelity, which is on the far, far right, upper level, near the Chapel of Chimes.

As you can see, the photo requests are out of control. I can only do about 20 per week so it will be a while before it gets caught up.

We'll talk more, I'm sure!

Regards,

B.J.

RE: CA or AZ?
If he was in the old (always locked) Inglewood Mausoleum, some of it hasn't been done, but not much. All of the little cremation niches are done, and the main hallway, and some other parts (i.e., short hallways near the back) and the first hallways to the left and right when you first enter. So, if he did other portions, they may not have memorials or photos yet. Other people have done parts of it as well (Glen and Tracy Morrow, who used to live around here).

I'm glad we've touched bases about what has been done. That will save a lot of time. But you know, I'm a little confused because there have been photo requests for memorials that are in all of the plots you mentioned. Are you sure you did all of them? Or, have you taken the photos but they haven't been added yet?

RE: CA or AZ?
I've done that a couple of times in northern Idaho, once in Oregon, and once in Kansas. Went on vacation and just couldn't stay out of the local cemetery!

Anyway, let me know the next time you're coming. There are some sections of Inglewood that are completely transcribed/photographed and I wouldn't want you to waste your time on a section that had already been done. As it stands, the Hildale Plot, Oleander Plot, Inglewood Mausoleum (most) and much of Cascade Gardens is done. I can give you an update in the spring.

Take care,

B.J.

CA or AZ?
Hello! I enjoy getting Edits from you, and noticed that you have taken quite a few photos in my area. Do you live around here, or in Arizona? Just wondering, because there are a lot of projects around here including a lot of open photo requests!

Merry Christmas!
Happy Hannukah!

Info regarding Charles Anderson #115210908
Thanks for your good work. Unfortunately, you can only do what you have to work with. I'm researching info about Charles Anderson and was interested in reading on your Find A Grave entry that he never married which it indicates on his death certificate. However, it's interesting that he has a wife & two children on his Family Search record. Her name is Gertrude Helen Elmer and the children are Elmer Samuel Anderson & Charles W. Anderson. Until we find a divorce record, we can only assume that they were divorced, especially since it was his mother who gave the information & not a wife. You might hang on to this info & if a divorce record shows up, it can be added to his record here on Find A Grave.

I'm also looking for his father's grave site, Charles (Julius) Andersen 1857-1890. He is thought to be buried somewhere in Arizona.

Keep up the good work. PJH Mortensen

RE: Vivian Nolan - vitals and spouse info
Thank you so much for the fast and detailed reply. The vitals match my relative Vivian Acord (maiden name) and is an exciting discovery for me. I believe the spouse information should be removed. While I didn't dig so deep, Henry Noland married a Vivian Chastain born a few years earlier so it is not a match.
