Hello, and welcome to my profile!
The regimental history I have written on the 38th Indiana Infantry regiment has officially been published! Feel free to visit my author webpage for more information:
http://www.outskirtspress.com/38thindiana.
During the many hours spent researching 38th Indiana soldiers, I have developed what some might call an obsession in trying to locate the graves of ALL the members of this regiment (1,715 total...I think). I realize I'll probably come up a little short when all is said and done due to the unknown disposition of battle casualties, unmarked graves and etc., but so far, I've positively identified 1,296 (75.5 percent) of them. I have received a TON of help from numerous Find-A-Grave photo volunteers on this project and I just wanted to take the time and thank ALL of you...you all have helped tremendously with this "quest" and I truly appreciate you all taking the time out of your schedules to hunt down and photograph gravestones for this project. Only 419 left to go! All of you who send updates and corrections to me for the memorials...thanks so much, and keep 'em coming! If there is anything I can try to do for you in my area, please let me know and I'll do my best to see that it is done! | |

 | 38th Indiana Volunteers I have recently found a "photo album" that was handed down to my grandfather, Miley A. Graham, son of Lieut. Simpson Clark Graham, who served in the 38th Indiana Infantry. I have several autographed pictures in the album that may be useful to you. Should I just post them on the "Find a Grave" website? | | | | [View all messages...] |
