SUGGESTIONS/CORRECTIONS - SAC's are always welcomed, however if your correspondence is RUDE in any way, it will be ignored. This site was created to help others, not criticize, harrass, bully or badger and certainly not for competition. Chastising and berrating someone for the way they volunteer is incredibly insensitive, not to mention absurd! Be kind to your fellow volunteers and the kindness will be returned! We all share the same goal of helping others.
For those who insist on being rude and hateful, your correspondence will be reported to the Find A Grave Admins.
When sending suggestions/corrections please use the edit tab, and select the suggest a correction option, as this will send the pertinent information/links needed to perform the updates.
If I decline an edit you submitted, that means I need legitimate documentation that the information is correct. I do not accept death locations from U.S., Social Security Death Index, 1935-2014 records, as that only lists the last known residence, not death location.
Please be patient in regards to a response to your SAC, if you have not received a reply after 30 days, please resubmit your request again. Sending duplicate SAC transfer requests will result in your request being denied. Submitting SAC requests on a daily basis for the same request is not necesary and will be ignored.
I love linking people together, so send me any information you have for the records I maintain. Each piece is a clue that enables me to find and link them to their families! Please, Please, Please, do not leave suggestions/corrections or biographical information for a record in the "Leave Flowers and a Note" section. This section is for family and friends to pay tribute to their loved ones, not to mention the fact that I may never see this information. Please send me a SAC instead.
IF REQUESTING TRANSFERS please use the edit tab, and the suggest a correction selection, as this will send the pertinent information needed to perform a transfer. Do not forget to add your member # to your request, as well as your name and relationship in detail to the person memorialized. REQUESTS SUBMITTED ANY OTHER WAY WILL NOT BE HONORED! Transfers performed within Find A Grave Guidelines only! Which means direct relatives within four generations.
If you are new to Find A Grave, please read the transfer guidelines prior to requesting a transfer.
If you lie about your relationship to the person you have requested a transfer of, your request will be ignored. Remember we live in the digital age, it is easy to verify familial relations!
I NO LONGER DELETE RECORDS I HAVE CREATED UNLESS THE RECORD IN QUESTION WAS ENTERED PRIOR TO MINE! PLEASE COMPARE THE MEMORIAL #'S TO ASCERTAIN WHICH RECORD WAS CREATED FIRST. EXAMPLE: MEM # 4456 WOULD HAVE BEEN CREATED PRIOR TO MEM # 4457.
