Bio

Hello, my name is Karl Stelly. I'm 69 years old, and I'm originally from Lafayette, Louisiana. I've lived in Baytown, Texas, Tulare, California, Great Falls, Montana, Killeen, Texas, Manassas, Virginia, and Louisville, Kentucky. I moved to Gettysburg with my wife around 2004. I enjoy roaming the battlefield and photography, and studying the history of Gettysburg and the Civil War. I have quite a few photographs of Gettysburg and other Civil War battlefields and other historic sites posted on Google Earth. I use the name "Seven Stars" on Panoramio and Google Earth. If you see photos there by "Seven Stars," that's me!

Feel free to use any of the headstone or grave photographs I have taken for your genealogy work, projects, etc. There is no need to ask permission first. I have no problem with people using my photos on other websites. Just give me credit for taking the photos, is all I ask.

I have recently created Virtual Cemeteries for each individual State Plot in the Gettysburg National Cemetery. This enables people to have very handy listings of all the known burials within each State Plot at Gettysburg. I have also included a Virtual Cemetery for the United States Regulars buried in the National Cemetery (at least all the KNOWN ones). Enjoy!
