Sorry I have not got back to you sooner. I went to the court house and obtained the marriage license of Matthew Fordy. According to this license he was married at the age of 23. His birth year would be 23-1893=1870.
The marriage took place in Wheaton, IL at the local Baptist Church. Perform by Pastor Robert C. Bryant.
His father was James Fordy mother was Bridget Connors. He was born in Troy, NY.

If you would like a copy of the license. Please contact me at the_matzes@sbcglobal.net and I will email you a copy

RE: Rubert Brandt at Forest Home Cemetery
Dave,
I was a little confused myself. Census records have him listed as Robert & Rubert with middle name August. As death records as 1919 not 1910. So I do not know for sure what to believe. I know both census records to be wrong & also headstones to be wrong. Most of the time I go by the headstone. Your guess is as good as mine.

Happy New Year! Cindy

Thank you for the mention of the name Charles. You are correct in that Carl or Karl is the German equivalent of the English Charles. I had forgotten that. Thanks for the reminder. I also show a birth date for him of December 1840 in Hannover. Is this correct in your records as well. Thanks. Susan
