I hope you all enjoy the memorials I've created and if any of these people are related to you, please don't hesitate to ask me to transfer them to you. I've also provided links wherever possible to spouses and/or other family members.|
Regarding photos -- Photos posted to memorials on Find A Grave are copyrighted by the member who submitted the photos. Lifting the photo to use elsewhere would be a violation of copyright. You must obtain written permission from the member to use any photo for your own use. In general if you did not take the photo yourself, you do not hold the copyright to the photo. See FindAGrave FAQs for more information.
...I only ask that you give me credit for my work. This statement applies to using my photos on OTHER websites -- not FindAgrave. You cannot copy my photos to put on a duplicated memorial on FindAGrave. Apparently, this needs to be specified because some people try to find loop holes everywhere. Courtesy and common sense should guide you but if you aren't sure, you can ask me.
If you want to attach a memorial to your family tree on Ancestry, FindAGrave is listed as a source under the birth, marriage, death section. You may have to look for it, but if it's on this website, then within a short time after adding it, it will be on Ancestry, too. If you must put the photo on your tree, please add, "Photo compliments of VickiO of FindAGrave", with a link to this page.

You have been very kind to me & just wanted to return something in your favor. This is why less people want to do this anymore.
I was told to read the fine print !! I did, and it's very understandable if you read properly.
Thanks Again for past tranfers.

It's been awhile since you gave me tranfers of Smeriglio Family. I hope all is going well.
I am having problems with Ancestry members using your photo's of Smeriglio & stating they orignally submitted!!, & putting on public tree's.
I am trying to back you up on this & hope I'm right by stating to them, it is a copyright infringement to F.A.G. & You.
I'm not usually this way, but don't like other people taking credit from someone else. Am I wrong ??
Thanks, Pat 47476000

Thank you for the information. Perhaps a photo of the 'clearly marked family plot' for the other memorial pages with at special notation stating what you make note of here would be appropriate..? What do you think?
Thank you so very much for all you have done here!

Thank you for all of the effort I am sure it took to provide this photo for a very old monument. Your efforts are truly appreciated.

Sorry Vicki, I wasn't ignoring you. I just yesterday noticed the message you had sent and was going to make the correction today but I see you had make it.

Hello VickiO, Thank you for researching all these names and photographing the headstones! Do you by any chance have the grave location or do you remember what section of the cemetery Marinus Van Boven (6-21-1994) and Dorothy Van Boven (8-8-2000) were in within the Laurel Grove Cemetery, Totowa NJ?? I looked at the picture you have of the headstone, but I couldn't see a grave location on there so I was wondering if you had that information as well.
Thank you so much for you help!
