Family history has long tugged at my heartstrings. It has also been a vehicle for meeting "cousins" and new friends as we assist and exchange data. Inevitably, errors occur so, please inform me of any you may discover on the info I have added (and I'm happy to place additional facts...THANK YOU IN ADVANCE! If I have inadvertently overlooked anyone, please know that I am sincerely appreciative of your input.) to this fantastic site directly from that memorial.|
Will consider transfer of family members to "per Find A Grave guidelines "(Please contact the Find A Grave member who created the memorial via the "Suggest a Correction" link under the "edit" tab on the memorial in question with your request to have the memorial transferred to you. Please, DO NOT post requests on my Bio page as it is very time consuming to search for those memorials and less accurate. Also include in your request your unique Contributor ID # which is displayed to the right of your member name on your profile page. Transfers: Determine if you really need the memorial transferred to you for management. Transferring of management should only be requested if you have extensive changes to make to a memorial. You can add photos and suggest corrections without having to request management. Simply having someone in your family tree is not grounds for a management transfer request. With hundreds of thousands of contributors, we have many overlapping family trees and it would be impossible for all contributors to manage their entire tree."Transfer requests should be for direct relatives WITHIN FOUR GENERATIONS, this would be your Siblings, Parents, Grandparents, and Great-grandparents. EXPLAIN your Relationship in the request. Any non-direct relatives (Aunts, Uncles, Cousins, etc.) are Not required to be transferred. Keep in mind that the original contributor may also be related to the memorial and may not want to make the transfer. BULK surname requests should not be made. Be advised that memorials listed as famous or maintained by Find A Grave will not be transferred.Please use the original memorial page to make updates and add information.). I will ONLY TRANSFER management of memorials to immediate relatives as defined in the Find A Grave rules...this is their policy. Other requests WILL be ignored. AGAIN, PLEASE USE the "EDIT" and "SUGGEST A CORRECTION". Additional data should not be placed in the flower/token area of the memorial page. I also need an email address, or way to contact you when you send me requests and questions. Many Newbies are not making themselves familiar with site guidelines and sadly, some simply do not care. I'm also very capable of adding data so, please do not ask me to transfer and you'll transfer the memorial pg back to me after you've added more data. The guidelines also state to allow 30 days for updates. Patience is necessary as I have a life beyond this site. In the event of the same memorial listed twice on the same day, please refer to the MEMORIAL number. The lowest MEMORIAL # was the one added first, with the highest MEMORIAL # being the duplicate.
Virtual cemeteries are the way to "gather" your ancestors together. I respect all contributors of FAG and do expect the same from them. Also, please keep in mind we are contributing this very important data for future generations so they might continue the wonderful work that we are currently peforming. The focus is assisting others and remembering those who passed before us.
I'm honored to add those who have passed into their eternal life as they should never be forgotten. ALL of these wonderful memorials are NOT related to me as I have added others I "met" while doing research at cemeteries, libraries, or seeking data on the Internet. Feel free to visit and leave floral/tokens/messages. Heartfelt thanks also to my fab ancestors!

Thank you very much for your management transfer of Richard Moore. It was very kind of you. Also, thank you for all you do. Your hard work is appreciated. :)

I was wondering if you could remove the obit card photo on my mom's memorial, as I would like to post the first generation photo of it instead. The photo you posted was the obit card my husband and I created. Do you work for Curlew Hills? Not sure how you got it. Anyway, it was a great idea at the time, and I thank you for it, but the original photo is so much better. Her memorial number is 95745397. Thank you very much! Jill
|GenoNewbie||GenoNewbie needs help :)|
Hello Susan :)
I am a GenoNewbie and am not sure if this is the proper channel to enlist help in finding some graves of ancestors in Florida. I have the information and am unable to locate their graves sites. I do not live in the US, so it is difficult to get information from afar. I have most of the information on these relatives and am looking for someone to assist in helping finding their graves. (the cemetery they are in is known). Could you please email me at firstname.lastname@example.org and I will share the circumstances and information with you. Any possible help you can give or maybe even point me in the right direction to continue my search would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks again for another family member transfer.

I notice that you left a flower on a memorial I have created for George W. Davis memorial #119445406. He is buried in the Cassville Cemetery, Cassville, Wisconsin and was married to Barbara C. Elrod in Illinois. He died in 1907. Are you related to this family? If so, do have more information about him and his family?
