Lowell Gene Gerber, 80, formerly of the Hooppole and Tampico area, passed away on Oct. 13, 2011,
in Plano, Texas, at the home of his daughter, Debra, and her husband, Richard Yee­Young.
Burial was in Sunnyvale, Texas.
Lowell was born Sept. 5, 1931, in Tampico, the son of Frank and Laura Gerber. Lowell served in the
military, worked for many years in Christian Service Brigade and later in life had a wedding
photography business. His hobbies included fishing and flying.
He is survived by the mother of his children, Betty Gerber, Garland, Texas; four daughters, Sharon
Pratt, Temecula, Calif., Karen (Dave) Kauffman, Perris, Calif., Debra (Richard) Yee­Young, Plano,
and Becky (Mark) Shaffner, Mesquite, Texas; 12 grandchildren; two great­grandchildren; two
brothers, Milton (Ferne) Gerber, Hooppole, Lauren (Mary) Gerber, Princeton, Ill.; a sister, Carolyn
(Melvin) Marquis, Sycamore, Ill.; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Lowell was preceded in death by his parents; and a sister, Joyce Gerber

it is up to you... if you leave it or change it. I just noticed when I up loaded a picture of the grave stone that they have it as "St." and not Saint. If you are searching for him by Saint... then you will never find this memorial but if you look by "St." you will. I just figured that if that is how it is on the grave then that is how the family spells it and his memorial should reflect that. I am just OCD and like it the way that the person that past away would have written his name on a daily bases. You manage the memorial you make the decision. I am just giving my 2 cents worth.
