Bio Photo My Find-a-Grave activity is only moderately curtailed by that essential 'nuisance' of "having to earn a living". I generally respond to queries, SACs and requests as soon as I can get a round tuit. Sincere apologies for all delays, and thank you for your patience. =]) Beth

A proud Canadian, I now live in the beautiful Province of British Columbia :D Locations of interest near my former home in Ontario include all of Simcoe County (which is about an hour north of Toronto), plus Ancaster (west Hamilton) and the (former) County of Wentworth, which are due west of Toronto.

Copyright courtesy requested! If you wish to use a photo that I have uploaded to a memorial here on Find-a-Grave, and post it to another website 'as yours', KINDLY ASK ME FIRST. In general, I don't mind if anyone uses my photos for their personal records, and I would hope my name would be included for the source file. But please, if you're going to post them to a FEE-BASED/SUBSCRIPTION website (including Ancestry, which as we all know ultimately profits from _everything_ contributed to their site), it would be nice if credit to the photographer (me) could be given within the posting. I don't know if other sites make this possible, but something such as: "Photograph taken by OhSunnyOne, Ancaster, Ont" would be appreciated.
Thank you for this consideration.

"If we don't grab this data, it's gone. Stones are face down, fallen over. Some that we can read now, we won't be able to read later. Counties just don't have the resources to restore every cemetery." --

Visitor: What a nice town. Have you lived here all your life?
Old Lady: Nope. Not yet.

When the time comes that I become part of my own entries and therefore unable to manage the memorials in my stewardship anymore, I would like them all to be transferred over to my cousin and fellow contributor, Dale Alleyne (#48076216)

Bessie Emmeline Anderson Haskett
I'm a bit unsure how to reply regarding Aunt Bessie. Yes, I am aware of her death. She was the youngest sibling in my grandpa Anderson's family and the last living. She was such a wonderful woman, I was to see her before she passed away. My family and I visited her and her family as often as we could. I'm in contact with her sons and was waiting to post a photo of the correct info until her headstone, was completed. Thank you so much for contacting me. I'd be happy to watch over Bessie and Dave, my great uncle Stanley Anderson is close to them as well as, Martha and Ross Easton, Mildred, and their parents, James and Annie Belle Anderson.

RE: James Welton Horne, Mountain View Cem, Vancouver
Hi! Yeah no problem removing the picture. I actually recently did a project for my BC History class at college and I focused on Mountain View. That's why I took so many photographs. I uploaded them to the site and I know how/have the time to match them with graves so I guess someone else transferred them to the correct monuments.

I'm very interested in going back to the cemetery again and taking more pictures, I guess I'll have to look at the photo requests?

RE: Re Christian Almas
I finally saw all of your messages. I haven't had access to that email address in a number of years. I also had no idea the site had a messaging option. I transferred ownership to you, so if you need to make a change now you don't have to wait 5 years! Sorry about that.

Your distant cousin,

Alleyne---England and Barbados
My name is Brenda Allen and I'm working on my father's family. We have tracked to a Reynold Alleyne and I see you have a LOT on that family. Would appreciate any files you might could send our way! Just talked to a cousin in Tennessee this week that said he had found Barbados connections, but he's just moved and all of his files are packed.

RE: St John's Anglican, Ancaster
Hi, the only one that I was not able to find for you was Peter Cheyne, I inquired in the office and they did not have a burial site listed for him on their computer and the regular person in charge was not available. I will attempt to follow up again in the warmer weather.

Orrock changed to Orok
When the family arrived in Canada the name was spelled Orrock. The parents and all but one son decided the name was too long and changed it to Orok. Robert jr kept the original spelling and now you can tell that son's family from all the others.

RE: Emma Chubb
I live in Winnipeg if I get a chance before the weather changes I will try to go to get the picture for you. It's one of the smaller cemeteries in Winnipeg I think it will not be very difficult to locate.
