As I have entered the second half of my life, I have embraced the lovely quiet while taking photographs of headstones and graveyards on my travels. My favourite cemeteries are the Old Burying Ground in Halifax, Nova Scotia, the Cementerio de Granada in Nicaragua, and the gorgeous old stones in Cave Hill Cemetery in Louisville, Kentucky.|
Please feel free to download the photographs that I have posted for your personal use on family tree research and websites.
Under the Canadian Protection of Personal Information and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA), a cemetery headstone and any information on it are considered to be in the public domain. Therefore, information obtained from these sources are considered as "open" information which may be released. This is true regardless of whether or not the people mentioned are living or dead or how long they have been dead

Wonderful, thank you

Would you consider transferring the memorials from the Moose River Nova Scotia cemetery to me as I am related to all the Roberts, Smiths, Dows, & Cookes buried there. It will make it easier to do the edits.

LMK, Thank you so much for the information and the picture of the headstones. I have moved Cyrus and Mary's memorials to Oak Grove. (They are my great-great grandparents thru their daughter, Abigail Johnston Wallace). My elderly cousin, Ruby Knifong, visited Oak Grove and other cemeteries years ago. Her record of the location was incorrect. She had much to remember before she returned to Missouri, USA, so it's not a surprise of one mistake. Louise

Thank you very much for getting the photo on the head stone. His sister, Olive, was a WWI nurse (USA) but her grave is un-marked in California. We are working on getting her moved to a veterans cemetery to be with her husband. So it will be nice in the end to be able to link all three siblings headstones together as they all are WWI vets.
