Oakdale Cemetery PHotos
Just wondering if you or any other Find A Grave Members are
taking photos at the Oakdale Cemetery. I have had
a photo request in for some time.

Thanks, Robert Carlson, Find A Grave Member

Murr-Boyer Marriage
Can you tell me where the informatin came from for the marriage of Joseph Shields Murr and Emily Zeigler Boyer? Joseph Sheilds Murr was a great grand father to my husband and was married to Martha Alice Lough and we have never seen this marriage and in checking neither has anyone else. Found several marriages for her but not to him. Thanks for your help with this question.

RE: Pembrooks
Katherine,

Yes, you can make any changes to the memorial that you choose to do. Only you can add biographical information to it, although anyone can add photos if they choose to. (I believe, however, that you have the power to delete them if you don't want them on the memorial). It's not a big deal at all, it's just that only you would be able to make any changes to it, aside from adding photos. If you'd like to manage a memorial, go to it and click on the "Edit" tab at the top right. From there, you can contact me (or the present manager of the memorial) and ask it to be transferred to you if you are family or a close friend.

A word of caution -- some folks are very fussy about transferring over ownership of a memorial but I think that's silly. If they have a good reason, such as being a family member, that's one thing, but some are just in it for the "numbers game" to see how many they can rack up! I hardly EVER have a problem with transferring management. The only time I would refuse was if it were a close family member of mine, but I've never had that happen.

By requesting a transfer as I mentioned above, it would save me from trying to have to look up your personal Find A Grave ID#. That can be very difficult sometimes if you a)don't use your real name or b) if there is more than one contributor by that name. The way I suggested would avoid any confusion.

Don't hesitate to ask for anything I currently manage. I know it's a nuisance to have to go to each memorial individually, but it really is the best way in order to ensure that no mistakes are made. Hope that helps!
