Bio and Links
Bio Photo My totem, Percival Fugi, who left us much too soon. His heart was true and strong and he held us in the "palm of his paws".

If I have created a memorial and I am not directly related to that person, I will gladly transfer it to a family member within the fourth generation FAG recommendation. While it gives me great pleasure to place a memorial into the hands of their family, I do reserve the right to not transfer individuals connected to my family.

Please include a separate edit link for each memorial you are requesting transferred, as well as your Find A Grave ID number, it is such a help to not have to search for each individual and it ensures each transfer is correct...assuming the memorial you requested is correct.

Plus, I am having health issues at the moment and my time on the computer is somewhat limited, so please bear that in mind.

Like many of you, I've added quite a bit of data to my family tree through the generosity of Find A Grave contributors and I firmly believe in Paying It Forward.

Sadly, some older cemeteries have been lost and with that loss has come graves that can no longer be identified. Many other gravestones are eroded by the passage of time and are no longer legible. Other cemeteries have been vandalized and severe storms and tornados have done their damage. These are just a few of the problems that beset our cemeteries, so thanks to all you Find A Gravers who are helping with their preservation.

We can add or correct a number of these omissions by simply logging on to Find A Grave and, as has been so aptly said by others, Paying It Forward.

Regarding transfers, Find A Grave recommends the following:

"...Transfer requests should be for direct relatives within four generations. This would be your siblings, parents, grandparents, great-grandparents, children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren..."

Transfers will be made within these FAG policy guidelines.

Virgil Holt Ferguson
On the bio for Virgil Holt Ferguson (Find A Grave Memorial# 29221329) it refers to him being a veteran of W W II. Based on his birth year (1929) he would have been 16 in 1945. Further, the application for his military head stone shows his service dates as 7 Jul 1953 to 1 Jun 1955. Based on this data I would suggest that the bio be revised. If you are an member you can see his head stone application at

Thanks for your Find A Grave contributions. Steve Hall

Janis Babb
Hi, I am curious if you know any thing about the other name on his tombstone. Ellena Lavaughn. there is a marriage date cut into the stone and her birth date, but no death date. I'm wondering if she was a first wife and Lavonna Webster is his second wife. No current researchers list any one other than Lavonna. Please let me know if you have any knowledge about this matter. Thanks,
Janis Webb Babb

Booker Bailey-Ander Smith Cemetery
Yesterday, I went to Nelson Cemetery to try and find photos. While there, I met the owner of the ranch that Ander Smith Cemetery is on. He took me thru the gate - into the woods where Ander Smith cemetery was. We tripped over several field stones and he took me to the only stone that he says is still there. He propped it up and I took a photo. It appears to be Robert Martin. He stated that the cemetery once took up space from the hill up to the field. He then called his wife and asked about Booker Bailey. They both believe that he is buried there, but we found no evidence. I know that this place is special to you because this was your GG grandfather. The land owner then told me that Booker Bailey was once a large land owner, in fact he said that Booker's home place was near this cemetery. Hope this helps.

Mt. Nebo Cemetery
Doyce-Virgil-Grovis Putman.

Do you have any more info. I was there for about two hours yesterday and there were no Putman's.
If you find anything - I will look the next time I go.
