Bio and Links
Bio Photo Yes, that Rosebud from "Citizen Kane".
The final utterance of the fictional
Charles Foster Kane
one moment before his death.
What is the final thought
in life of the great man?
What does it mean? Regrets? Lost love?
Something else totally?
See the film if you haven't.

Click below for a lyrical poem of predictable interest for
FG members. It was recorded in 1966 by a nineteen year old David Bowie on his first day ever in a recording studio. There is no musical accompaniment, just the sounds of rain, thunder, some birds and a digging shovel. If you hear it, you will likely never forget it.
Categorically... it is cemetery noir.
Please Mr. Gravedigger
Happy Halloween

This is one of my favorite poems
with relevance to passing from this life...

And Death Shall Have No Dominion
BY DYLAN THOMAS

And death shall have no dominion.
Dead men naked they shall be one
With the man in the wind and the west moon;
When their bones are picked clean and the clean bones gone,
They shall have stars at elbow and foot;
Though they go mad they shall be sane,
Though they sink through the sea they shall rise again;
Though lovers be lost love shall not;
And death shall have no dominion.

And death shall have no dominion.
Under the windings of the sea
They lying long shall not die windily;
Twisting on racks when sinews give way,
Strapped to a wheel, yet they shall not break;
Faith in their hands shall snap in two,
And the unicorn evils run them through;
Split all ends up they shan't crack;
And death shall have no dominion.

And death shall have no dominion.
No more may gulls cry at their ears
Or waves break loud on the seashores;
Where blew a flower may a flower no more
Lift its head to the blows of the rain;
Though they be mad and dead as nails,
Heads of the characters hammer through daisies;
Break in the sun till the sun breaks down,
And death shall have no dominion.

If you wouldn't mind. I have other family members to link to George. Some were not mentioned in the Obituary. Thank you!

I had cloud cover for about 5 minutes. Ran back to all the graves I had done but I had not located this one, yet. The worst is getting your own shadow in the picture. I have taken many pictures upside down to avoid this.

Yes, someone had recently left flowers. Sorry about the shadow. No way around it without removing the vase and that is not allowed. Glad I could get the photo for you.

I am sorry that I haven't gotten this done yet. I have had a lot of health issues that have kept me away from my computer. Please forgive me

RE: Hello..
Thanks for the note! I appreciate your kind words very much. Like everywhere, there are always a few bad apples who spoil the batch, even in the genealogy world. I just try to do my best and counter that ungracious behavior!
Cheers-
Nick
