Bio and Links
Bio Photo Working on my family history is my hobby. I've been at it about 15 years. I've picked up where my aunt, Harriette E Barrow left off. I was able to trace my family history and become a DAR member in 2006. Along the way I've met several cousins and have been able to help others with their genealogies. Thanks to my Aunt Frances for keeping scrapbooks. Thanks to my cousins for sharing: Marlea Rice Warren, Charlene Chesnut Dawson, Doris Porter, Bruce Barrow, Jason Roland Barrow, Dotty Barrow, Ginny Barrow, Greg Cassady, Ting Barrow, Jean Kay Chilson, Jessica Morales, Margaret, Hill, Huey Malone, Shelly Robbins Reese. I've also been extremely fortunate to meet others along the way who have helped me. They have been gracious and willing to share.

I need to thank Joyce Tice, whose website, Tri-Counties Genealogy & History by Joyce M. Tice has been a valuable source in putting the family pieces together.

Also another valuable resource:
Old Fulton Postcards by Thomas Tryniski for NY newspaper clippings. This has been most helpful to me in linking my families.

I've added photos that I'm willing to share. I would only asked that I'm credited for my work.

Edwin and father Aden Spaulding edits
Hello Susan,
I don't think that Aden is the same man as Edwin father.
In the 1850 census, 'Adin Spalding' is living in Waynesfield, Lucas Co, OH, with wife Sophia and son 'Edward'.
In 1860, 'Adin Spaulding' is in Roanoke, Jackson Twp, Huntington Co, Indiana, again with wife Sophia and son Edwin.

The Aden Spauldin in Vermont appears to have died in 1850.
Let me know what you think.

RE: Philip Spauldin Memorial
I agree with you completely, Susan. I think they may have had other priorities in those days.

RE: Philip Spauldin Memorial
Susan, the stone is not in the least worn. The inscription is deeply cut and quite legible. I have no idea why the family ordered it this way, or accepted it this way (if it was in error), but they did. Clearly, they weren't very picky about spelling. Philip's father, Nathan, spells his surname "SPALDING", Philip's stone adds a "u" and eliminates a "g" - "SPAULDIN", and wife Phebe's stone puts it all together: "SPAULDING"

Philip Spauldin Memorial
Susan, sorry to decline your edit but I have a firm policy of matching the names on my memorials with the names on the gravestones. Whenever I deviate from that, someone comes along, photographs the gravestone and, because the name does not appear when they check the cemetery at find-a-grave, they create a duplicate memorial. Then it's a battle getting the duplicate removed. I no longer want to go to war over things like this, so I adhere to my policy.

My goodness have been very busy!
I just want to thank you for all the info you have provided for these memorials. I am more than happy to keep adding it, but I would also like to say that I am not related to any of these and if it would make it easier to transfer any or all to you I am happy to do that too.
My goal was to photograph the cemetery and add what wasn't there and hope it would connect with ANY family member.

Keep up the great work!!
