I moved to North-Central Kansas in late 2008, which gave me a whole new starting place for family history research! My grandmother Elsa Opal Long Vandecar (1896-1996) was the family historian, and for the last 15 years or so I've been trying to continue her legacy.|
You are welcome to copy any of my gravestone photos onto other genealogy or family history websites; no need to credit me. Helping other family historians by gathering those photos is my way of paying forward all the help I've received!

S. J. Oregon,
Many thanks for obtaining the photo of Louisa Haskett (my great grand mother).
While you were in the Belleville Cemetery did you notice a marker for her husband, Eli Haskett (1847-1930.) He is listed in the plot with Louisa on the cemetery record BUT he died in the National Veterans Home in Hampton, Virginia, and is believed to be actually buried in the National Cemetery there. Perhaps a cenotaph in Belleville for "Father?"
