|Dillons Boy||John and Ada Jenkins updates|
Thanks so much for the obituaries of John and Ada Jenkins. I've updated their memorials and learned more about the 2 of them (she was my great-grandmother's sister) in the process!!

Hi Sharon, Mary Louise is buried in Golden, Colorado. Fern Norene is buried in Ontario, California. Jean and Kay are still living - Jean was born in 1926 and Kay in 1929. As far as I know, Paul's ashes are with the family. I've submitted links that should now connect all the family members. Please let me know if you need any other information. Jane

|Steve Hanken||Poppe stuff|
I was going through the Ortssippenbuch for Reepsholt and discovered that Gerd Janssen Poppe was not a Poppe! Rinste Wilken was previously married to an Eilers and they were divorced after having one child. There is no reference beyond that childs birth which suggests he went with his mother to America. There are few Eilers from that early date but there is a Gerd Janssen Poppee that was born in 1849 when the second marriage of Rinste and Johann Dietrich Poppe didn't happen until 1855. That would suggest that the first son was by a different husband, Johann Heinrich Eilers from Upschoert.

Taken care of.
|James Westphal||Paul G Rohwedder|
Thanks so much for the obit for Mr. Rohwedder. I used the dates on the obit, and cannot remember where I found the dates that were incorrect on the webpage. Perhaps ancestry. Your efforts are appreciated.

You did not do a typo. I have a clipping from the 1949 newspaper and it does say her birth is 1868. I typed the dates as they were in the paper, but all the information I received from relatives said she was born in 1969 as her headstone says. In this case do you normally change the date from the paper when you transcribe?
