You are welcome. There is another Zitney at Bellevue Memorial. Do you know if they are related? Do you need that photo?
|Sue Tanner||Higgins, James|
Hi, I have looked twice now for your James Higgins. No success. The cemetery does not have him listed at all. Is he in the correct cemetery? Sue

Looks great. What a terrific story about France, and the "light and agreeable work". You've done him proud:)
|Fran Hanchett||RE: Timothy Peaslee|
Wow! Where is your John Peaslee. They all were in Sutton at one time, right?
Timothy & Martha's daughter, Martha, M: Henry Greenleaf Elliott and they lived in Canaan, NH.
Their, daughter, Hattie M: Friend Pressey, they also lived in Canaan, NH.
Then my grandmother was Ruby Martha Pressey.
Thanks so much for finding Meda Klotz Blender's parents! I corrected the spellings on my memorials. The Blenders owned the property that the little town where I live was built upon. They are very important people around here! My Dad knew William Xavier - he bought the property where our house and where my grandparents' house was built from William Xavier Blender.

the oberschlesien, Germany birth place in biography is also odd. ober means upper. schelien is usually schlesia or or Silesia . which was in south west Poland german area. maybe a province ??. if you check the ancestry.com public trees for stumpf in Calhoun county iowa. they have several different villages of birth for joseph s. stumpf born 1857. one has his mother as being a bartch maiden name. some other trees for iowa, go to a joseph j. stumpf in Washington county iowa, born about 1857.

Thanks for the clarification. Her death notice/obituary does not appear in the Lake View newspaper either.

You're very welcome! I was just pottering around filling in side branches to my tree (Josiah Sherman's sister was my great grandmother) and suddenly noticed the error. Thanks for all the work you do!

Thank you for the wonderful cite sources! This is great information! I will source the books on Worldcat and see if a local library has a copy.
Happy New Year,
