RE: Pauline Schoenjahn
Thanks for your message.

I'm always looking for clues about my ancestors who travelled back and forth on the Milwaukee or Northwestern from eastern Iowa to Crawford and Carroll counties.

The migrants settled mostly around Manning, Aspinwall and Manilla with final resting places at Manning, Iowa Township and Nishnabotna.

Thanks for adding the obituary.

Gambach picture of stone
Thank you for your time and talent of taking the picture. Nice job.

Did you happen to see if his parents were next to him? I just put them on FindaGrave. I thought I put a note on with Bruce's request. I just don't have alot of info on his mother yet. I need to find the obit's for both of them.

Bruce was a High School Classmate of mine, Class of 1964, Fairfield Iowa.
Bruces Dad, Ralph was the Superintendent for the district at that time.

Thanks You Again,

Photo of Alice Wilson Stone
Hi Geo,
Thank you so much for the photo of Alice's stone. She is a relative that I was never able to meet but wish I had. Thanks to your efforts, I feel her memorial is significantly enhanced.

Regards and a sincere thank you for your random act of genealogical kindness,

M Gilbertson

RE: Effie Hagler.
It is a confusing family. James Larkin Geary 12/29/1871-4/27/1941. Sometimes listed as James, sometimes Larkin under various spellings of Geary.
Married 1/20/1898 @ Sac City IA, Effie Hagler who died 1906. The Summit Hill cemetery Sexton might have a burial record with a complete 1906 date so an obit or church record could be found. It would seem natural for her to be buried with her parents.
issue: Elzie 1899, Leon 1900, & James 1904 were in an orphanage on 1910 census.
James next Married 4/12/1910 Eldora "Dora" Hults Mitchell 8 issue.

I'd appreciate any further information you may find.
