'The Dead....do not suffer the Living to pass. The way is shut! It was made by those who are dead.....and the Dead keep it! The way.....is shut.'
I have been researching my family lines since 2000 and have accumulated hundreds of pictures from dozens of cemeteries. I hope by sharing these photos with/on 'Find A Grave' it will help others re-discover their family and their heritage. I will make an effort to display only proved data with sources; and if any mistakes are found, feel free to contact me so we can make the appropriate corrections.
A very special ‘Thank You' to my mentors for getting me jump started; Shawn – Paul Allison, Dave Ash, Thomas B. Gotham, Doug Lyon, Janice Barker-Reeder, Stella Weaver – Ward, Mildred Allison – White.
My Allison lineage back to Thomas Allanson, English extraction, London.

 | James William Allison I'm pretty sure my g-g grandfather James William Allison was the son of James William Allison. If my memory serves me (I am not with my records right at the moment), they both might have migrated to Missouri from Virginia. I will have to check. Would like to communicate through regular email if possible.Added by S Newton on Mar 23, 2013 8:23 PM | | | S Newton
 | James Allison Hi George, I am the g-g-grandaughter of James William Allison, born Virginia and descended directly from this James Allison through his son, Jonathan Jackson Allison. Incidently, his father migrated to Missouri, where James William was a member of the Confederacy during the Civil War. He is buried in Wise County, Texas, a proud Confederate veteran. At any rate, thought I would give a shout out to an Allison cousin and thank you for sharing your hard work. Ever in Texas, give me a holler. | Albert G. Still, Jr-New Cumberland Cem. Hello George,
Just wanted to let you know that I added a grave photo to the memorial page of Mr. Still. Didn't realize it was slightly tilted, so will try to get a better photo when able.
Regards, and hope you are well; Jackson. | | | Sharon Moreno

 | Relations I just wanted to ask if you were related to James Fred Allison or Essie Griffin Allison at all. Also, they have more children than what is listed so if you would like to add those I would be very happy. They are my Great-Grandparents. Thanks, Jarrett Cothron | | | carol kristufek
 | Allison William Allison and Anne Johnson are my 2nd great-grandparents. I descend through Howard Witherspoon Allison and I would love any information that you would be willing share about their genealogy. You may contact me at kristufek1@aol.com | | | Les456
 | Thank you I wanted to thank you for your contributions to the Find-A-Grave sites, including the one regarding my father, Clifford Daniel Allison. I didn't even know he was listed with Find-A-Grave until tonight. My father is the son of James Dolphus Allison and Iowa Jane Frisbee Allison of Madison County, North Carolina. It is this generation and their parents that I am currently researching. Once again, many thank you's to you and Findagrave.com Les Allison McLeansville, NC
