I can remember having "fun" days with my grandparents going from cemetery to cemetery putting flowers on graves for people I never knew or did not remember. Combining the love of cemeteries and genealogy has gotten to be a passion (or is it addiction). I know first hand how frustrating it can be to wonder where that great, great grandparent is buried. Sharing brings us into contact with those family members we have not yet met.

RE: Polly Darrow Luce
Janece:
The Darrow's I think left Chatham, Columbia Co., NY.
and and moved to Orleans Co., NY. If that helps at all.

Hello Janece,
At some point in the past, I have attached your photos of Star Cemetery and the gravestone of Charles John and Minerva Warburton, my great-great grandparents, to my ancestry.com family tree, and I want to be sure that you are okay with them being used in this way, with attribution to you. Thank you for your consideration. Regards, Gwen

Daniel Carter and Thankful Post
Hello Janece,

My cousin and I are attempting to determine if there is a connection between his ancestor:

Daniel Carter, Jr., who was about December 17, 1800, in Haddam Township, Middlesex County, Connecticut, or in Clinton Township, Middlesex County, Connecticut, married (1) Betsey Spencer on Sunday, January 4, 1824, in the Old Saybrook Township, Middlesex County, Connecticut, married (2) Electa M. Burr, died on Monday, June 17, 1861, in the Town of Grove, Allegany County, New York, and was buried on Wednesday, June 19, 1861, in Union Cemetery in the Hamlet of Dalton, Town of Nunda, Livingston County, New York.

We suspect that he was the son of Daniel Carter and Thankful Post because he married Malinda Kelsey after Thankful Post's death.

Please contact me at
believerinjesuschrist@frontier.com

so my cousin and I can share what we have and perhaps determine if there is a connection.

In Christ,

Ron Powell
