Bio and Links
Bio Photo I have been working on genealogy for about 25 years. I just found out about Find A Grave a few months ago. What a handy tool this is. I enjoy going around to different cemeteries looking at all the old headstones, and taking pictures for people who might not every see the headstonesof there ancestors if someone didn't take pictures for them.

If anyone finds an error, please let me know and I will correct it. Also anyone who would like to add something, I can also do that for you.

For over 15 years I have been seriously researching my Gibbons family, with a beginning origin in South Carolina (Joseph Franklin Gibbons 1839 and still searching for information prior to that), also researching the Paris family (Rhoda Catherine Paris) from Spartanburg, South Carolina and the Giles families from that area.

From there the search has taken me into Harlan and Bell Counties in Kentucky, and surrounding counties in VA & TN, later on to Rockcastle and Lincoln Counties in KY also. In KY families that connect with our Gibbons are: Fee's, Green, Burkhart, Hensley, Wynn, Wilson and more.

My grandfather Andrew Jackson Gibbons was born in SC, was raised and married Margaret Fee in Harlan County KY. They raised their family in Lee Co. VA. Andrew Jackson Gibbons brothers are, James Giles, John Giles, Spurgeon Gibbons, Willie Gibbons, Campbell Gibbons, Frank Gibbons II and Nathan Gibbons. No known sisters.

If anyone has information of any of these families I would be very appreciative of anything you are willing to share.

I am also working on a register for Rose Hill Cemetery in Robinson, Kansas.

Duplicate memorial.
Putting request info on memorials in Maple Grove cemetery I noticed that there was a duplicate memorials for Glenn Eugene Miller. I grew up in Oregon, MO and live in Mound City, MO, so I have family in both Maple Grove and Mount Hope and work on getting info for others working on family history. I have found several times that you have made a duplicate memorial for someone that already has one and have just let it go. This time I am letting you know that your memorial for Glenn Eugene Miller is a duplicate for one made on Sept 4, 2015 #151700866. Yours was made on Sept the 22, 2015 #52658990. As I've seen others say in messages to you, I am not sending a note to the person who made the first one, for the first one is what they usually have stay. If you would delete your memorial for Glenn Eugene Miller we would greatly appreciate it. Please thoroughly check before creating a memorial. You are doing a great job getting memorials made, just please take a few days to check before making them. That would be a great help and stop confusion for those just starting to use Find a Grave. Thank You, nenab

George Albert Meisenheimer
I believe there is possibly an error on this boys record. His parents were married in 1869. The birth on this site indicates it was prior to that date. Believe the correct date of death is 27 May 1884 per the following obituary information: obit - http://www.genealogycenter.info/results_evanmessenger.php?daterange=1&obityear=1884

pg 175 Evangelical Messenger Obituary Index

05/27/1884 pg 175MEISENHEIMER, Georgie Albert*1KSKS: Hiawatha area (d); son of Albert & Alice

So either this boy was born to different parents than the link indicates or out of wedlock before their marriage or the dates posted online are incorrect. (I think:)

Vernon, please note that this memorial is a duplicate of 166367327. They were both posted the same day the other was just posted earlier in the day. I am not sending a note to the other person. The general rule here is the first posted stays. I'll leave it to the two of you. I don't know that either one are family. Thanks I will try to watch and see which number I need to add to family records.

RE: Andrew and Grace Hinton
Dear Mr. Gibbons, I regret that I have just read your message a few minutes ago. For some reason, the forwarding service for my messages has failed, and I have not received the messages which were written to me at my Find A Grave account. The memorial number for Andrew Cleveland Hinton (my grandfather's brother) is 147039091. You also requested the memorial number for Grace Hinton? I assume you are asking about his sister, Martha Grace Hinton? Her memorial number is 19527139. Andrew Cleveland Hinton was married to Grace Idol Hinton. Her memorial is available by LINK from the memorial for Andrew Cleveland Hinton. I would like to have a little more information? Are you related to the Hinton family? Or are you researching another family which is related to the Hinton family? I will be pleased to exchange family history/genealogy information. Thank you.

38974281 John Lutz
Vernon:
Was wondering as to where you came up with the BORN DATE you have listed for John Lutz.
You state that there are no grave stones for neither John Lutz, and none for his wife Christina Lutz.
Both of these grave sights do have crude made concrete headstones.
They where both buried several inchs deep and grown over with grass.
I located both headstones by probing the ground at the grave sights.
I have photoed the headstones and there now both shown on there memorials. Ronald

Hello Vernon, I was just going to "visit" my friend Craig when I noticed that he has duplicate memorials! (you made both of them) I left flowers at the first one you made and added a picture. The second one is #146587686 if you would like to delete it. Thanks for starting a memorial for Craig, he was truly one of a kind, such a big heart and always happy! -Caroline
