Hometown of Hammond, Indiana, near Chicago. I now live in Boise, Idaho. I've been a paramedic since 1978, as an EMS provider, manager, educator, and in communications. I've been photographing cemeteries and gravesites for several years. I travel frequently and to many locations instructing emergency medical classes, so am able to photograph cemeteries and graves in many parts of the country and some international locations. I have developed a presentation on the art and symbolism of gravestones and cemeteries which I give through the city's Community Education system and at genealogy/family history conferences, and to various historical groups.|
PLEASE USE THE NEW "EDIT" TOOL THROUGH FINDAGRAVE FOR ANY CORRECTIONS OR ADDITIONS. I AM FREQUENTLY IN PLACES WITHOUT INTERNET ACCESS AND MAY NOT GET TO YOUR REQUESTED CORRECTIONS FOR SOME TIME. BE ASSURED IF YOU HAVE SENT IT I WILL EVENTUALLY GET TO IT. PLEASE BE PATIENT.
I'm always available to photograph graves in the Boise/Ada County, Idaho and surrounding areas.
Transfers - FAG TRANSFER POLICY:
How do I get a relative's memorial transferred to me?
First, Determine if you really need the memorial transferred to you for management. Transferring of management should only be requested If you have extensive changes to make to a memorial. You can add photos and suggest corrections without having to request management. Simply having someone in your family tree is not grounds for a management transfer request. With hundreds of thousands of contributors, we have many overlapping family trees and it would be impossible for all contributors to manage their entire tree.

Thanks for the transfer.

Thanks for getting back to me. I'm referring to the second paragraph, near the end where it says, "Matthew Thomas [skipped a space] Heiland passed away Sunday, April 29, 2007, due to injuries sustained in a motorcycle accident in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma." Please backspace so that his last name, Heiland, is on the same line as his middle name, Thomas, so it's all in one paragraph. I would really appreciate it. The format that I created his bio was approved by Find A Grave, I had all the headings in bold, so that there was no need to skip lines in paragraphs as we are asked to do. I wish it had been left that way, but really appreciate you posting it to his memorial. A transfer would be much appreciated.

I am a descendent of August Langenberger's brother Wilhelm Langenberger who came to New Palestine IN in 1830's.
I would like to see what you have on their parents - - as I see that you have Dr. Amadeus Langenberger listed as the father of August. Just wanted to know if you got those names off of a death certificate or was this passed down knowledge? Curious?
I will tell you that the story that we were always told was the the Langeberger's father was a surgeon in Blucher's Army during the Napoleonic Wars. We were also told that Wilhelm came from Stadthagen - but I see you have a different town for August's place of origin. Unfortunately, for me - Wilhelm died before Indiana issued death certificates - - so I can't check his place of origin there.
At one point in time, I was in contact with a German researcher who was able to trace the Hespe line - which is Wilhelm's wife back to over the 1500's.
Just curious if you had any further info on the Langenbergers - and knew about why they left Germany? Are you a relative too?
Wilhelm Langenberger (sometimes referred to as August Wilhelm Langenberger was born in 1800 and died in 1872. He married Charlotte Hespe, and they were my great-great-great-grandparents.

I'm still trying to figure out about being related! One of my great aunts was married to a Milan Miller and then she died and I spent a long time not being able to find out any more information about him; then I received hints from ancestry.com about him maybe, after being widowed, then marring Jane Ellen Mellen; so I've been trying to research a little more about her family to possibly confirm or deny that theory. Thank you again for your help!
|KE Tuttle||RE: Lester Virgil Joplin|
Hi David. We had a family member make inquiries about information I had added to Lester's family memorials. I sent the sources and we were trying to connect the dots. Now, I see Lester is linked to his parents and wife.
This tall, slender single man with Grey eyes and brown hair signed his June 5 1917 Draft registration as Lester Virgil Joplin; born in Boise Valley ID; living with his dependent mother; farming for Norman Hubble on the Bar V cattle ranch.
I may have miss-hit the edit button as I had several tabs open. Was it Isham 8437097 that we need to connect to the parents Francis 8437084 and Martha 74377026 Joplin?

Hi David, The GPS coordinates for Home Oaks Cemetery place it in Antioch IL, not Lake Villa IL. Do you know which is correct?
With kind regards,
