I have been interested in family history as long I can remember. As a child, I would hang around the old folks and listen as they talked of family and told stories of their growing up years. Family history continues to be important to me, and I have been involved in genealogy for over 30 years. I gather, compile, and maintain info for the following families which is a work in progress.
My family lines: Cribb, Luke, Register, Creed, Alderman, Newton, Carter, Connell, Lee, Wilson, Brewer, Smith. Ancestry.com public family tree files: "Luke and Allied Lines" and "Cribb Cribbs".
1st husband, Vernon Tripp, lines: Tripp, Castleberry, McCranie, Akins, Moore, Powell, Livingstone, May, Beasley, Purvis, Giddens. Ancestry.com public family tree file: "Tripp Castleberry"
2nd husband, Hoyt Eugene 'Gene' Annis, lines: Hayes, Braziel, Alderman, Hiers, Kinard, Baker, Mobley, Jernigan, and allied lines. Ancestry.com public family tree files: "Annis in Name Only" and "Tripp Castleberry"
My Ancestry.com "Connection Collection" is a combined file of my files, 1st husband, 2nd husband, allied lines, and some non-related families. It contains approximately 40,000 names.

As a charter member of the Cook County Historical Society, I have taken on the project of ensuring that memorials for Cook Co cem interments are posted on Find A Grave. In addition, family links and other researched info is added. My Ancestry.com file for this research is "Find A Grave Research" and "Connections Collection." A special thank you to Find A Grave surveyor and photographer, Cat, who has worked closely with me on this project. Please credit Find A Grave for any information you find useful. I will transfer memorials of your relatives. Please include your Find A Grave member number with your request.

We honor our ancestors by remembering them.

Judy,

There was a James Jones living in Burke Co., GA in 1910 and he was black. James V. Jones was living in Calhoun Co., GA in 1910 and 1920. In 1930, he was lving with his son, Albert, in Polk Co., FL. Is there a death certificate for him in Calhoun Co.? Is it for a white man?

Thanks again,

Jane

Thanks.
Hi, Judy,

Thanks for the information on the Futch grave duplicates and for the information on the marriage date for Sarah and Solomon Futch. I have made corrections at #70492874. I have also discovered that Joy Blankenship has passed away and have contacted Find a Grave.

RE: Arnsie Theus
Who is Charlie? Is this a son of Arnsie's? It has been said that they think she died in child birth. Would this be when Cora was born in 1912. I never knew there was a Cora. Did she die in infancy? I found you through find a grave. Thanks!
