Happy New Year to all who work toward the mission of finding the resting place and creating memorials of others on FAG. Have a blessed and safe holiday season.|
Please allow 30 days for me to complete edits you send to me.
NEW EDIT SYSTEM: Go to your profile page and at the top is a tab called EDITS. There you will find the edits/additions that others have sent to you. There is a drop down box where you can choose to view all edits sent to you and all edits you have sent to others. You should check that tab each time you log on.
This is supposed to be a faster way to do all of the edits at once.
It is intentional that survivors are not listed on the page. See FAG's FAQ page for the guidelines about listing living people.
Please mind your manners and leave a polite message below. Mean or rude people are ignored. Please treat me with the consideration and politeness that you would want for yourself.
Sometimes I check info provided in Edits by others. I try to confirm info that is submitted before I make the changes. If I am unable to do so, I may ask you to provide a source document to prove the changes you want me to make. This is done so I don't keep going back and forth changing details on someone's say so. When I ask for a source, I am looking for a marriage record, bible record, census, or other official document. My goal is to post accurate information on Find A Grave.
Thank you so much to all of the contributors who have helped me over the years. I'm very grateful.

I checked the entire Magnolia cemetery and the only Lena Rose I found was a Lena Rose Dean. If this is possibly the person you're looking for I have no problem getting a picture of her grave for you. By the way, there are some graves in Magnolia Cemetery that don't have headstones or any markers. I have a great uncle who is buried there and he has no marker.

I know, it confused me also when I was linking them to the daughter. Because her name on the memorial is Mrs Charles Holder, it shows up looking like the husband, but if you check the death dates they are different. Mrs Charles Holder was created by someone else and I have submitted her name change. Mrs died in 1914, and Mr died in 1923. Her real name was Nannie Parks or Park.
Yes I took these photos this past summer in Section 12 and I am just now getting to them. Because it has so many early residents of Atlanta buried there, I have come across a lot of yours. Thanks for all you do.
Hope you are doing well. :)

I can take the entire Grimes Family if you like. I have quite a bit of information. I have found ancestors back to the early 1700's and know who belongs to who now. So many same names. It was quite confusing for awhile!

He was injured in the Civil War in Mississippi - I do not remember where I found that he died there, but will be happy to take it off, if you have different information. He is no kin to me, I just try to help others. I will go ahead and remove the death place - will be happy to transfer his page to you, if you wish - just send me an edit.

I just want to thank you for posting information on my aunt and where she is buried, as I live in Canada and have not been able to go myself to see her grave, would it be possible to have a picture of here grave stone on this site? That way I can add it to the family tree. Thank you.

Hi Grave Whisperer,
I'd like to know if I could have your permission to include the three photos from n. 86397342, Frank and Ida McDonald, in a family history report I'm preparing.

|Deb||RE: Harlan/Pauley Cemetery office??|
The sexton for the Harlan Cemetery (which is really in Cameron, not Turney) is Clay Cornaman (?). His number is 816-617-3286. Hope that helps.

Absolutely no office, just the church. Your best bet is to call the genealogy library here. It is the T. Elmer Cox Historical & Genealogy Library. Phone: 423-638-9866. They are not open normal hours. They are closed Sun., Mon., Tues. Wed & Thurs 10-4, Fri 10-5, and Sat. 10-2. We are probably an hour earlier than you are there since we are on EST. They have cemetery records.

I see your request for a photo on findagrave for Westview Cemetery. I am familiar with that cemetery and would be happy to look for you. Would you please call the cemetery office at 404-755-6611 to find out the section and lot numbers for your request? The office is reluctant to give me that information and in fact has threatened to charge me for it. They do however give it easily to relatives. The cemetery is massive and that section/lot information will help me narrow the search.
