Bio and Links
Bio Photo I have worked on genealogy for a number of years. My family interests are Burnell, Utterback, Taylor, Burkholder, Burton, McColley, White, and Brown. Since retiring, I have become interested in Findagrave and have been working more on my "roots". Cemeteries have always fascinated me and now I have trouble driving by one without taking pictures. I am happy to transfer family, add or link or make corrections. Please do not enter duplicates. Please do not be a "collector" of graves. If you are NOT going to add information, do NOT request a transfer just to have the entry. Sometimes there is just nothing more to add. And sometimes I try to add something to a grave that I have transferred and no response from the person now managing the grave. I find it very important as much information is saved as possible especially photos of the headstones as so many are in poor condition. I like to add all the information I can to my entries. I feel the person will never be forgotten if this is done. I love for family to find my entries. Feel free to use any pictures of tombstones that I have added.

RE: Wm. Conour d. Jan. 23 1848
Several William Conours in this part of the family. William b. 1805 d. Jan 1848 was brother of Jacob b. 1808. This William was married to Rebecca Bowling, sister of Nancy Bolding, who married his brother Jacob. The Bolding girls' father was William BowlingBolding.

Jacob and Nancy (bolding) Conour also had a William who died 20 Feb 1837, as an infant. He was born 9 months after the death of John Washington and Elizabeth Conour's son, William who died at about age 13. Confusing. Hopefully, the Bible of James E. Conour has this correct.

RE: Jacob Conour
Jacob Conour, my 3rd Gr Grandfather, was married to Nancy Bolding in KY in 1831. Children: Elizabeth, William John Washington, Andrew Jackson, Harrison, James Newton, Nancy Jane and Martha Ann (twins). So - his wife was Nancy and they had a daughter, Nancy. Clarissa Thackara was the wife of their son, James Newton Conour. Jacob was never married to her - she was his daughter-in-law.
James Newton Conour and Clarissa's children: Charles William, George Wesley, Ella May, Lafayette Burdett and his twin, James Eckenrhode, and Grace Viola Conour. I have the family Bible of James E Conour with these names, birth and death dates, and marriages. James E lived with our family from 1952 until his death in 1965 - he was my Gr Grandfather.

Hope this clears things up. Thanks.

I am not sure what you are telling me, and I have not seeing any change? If you wish I can send you a copy of the death certificate?

James Monroe Gardner and wife
I have been working on my family tree line and my research leads me to believe that James Monroe Gardner was married to my family member Margaret Elizabeth Etter. However the Margaret you have him attached to is not my Margaret. My Margaret is resting at Forest Hill Cemetery in Greencastle Indiana. I have obtained my information about My Margaret Elizabeth's marriage to Monroe Gardner and her resting place from her death certificate.

RE: Towling
Thanks Kay. Not related but I like to have the links and stuff added to make the memorials better. ;-) I can get into researching people I'm not even related to and love it as much as researching my own family. lol!
