Please let me know if you would like me to transfer any of my memorials to your family that are not in my family. My grandson Owen and I really enjoy this time together. He especially likes the veteran areas and is really into Gettysburg and Lincoln. We found a relative that had brunch with Lincoln on the day of his address and then she sat on the platform steps to hear his speech. |
We have taken many extra photos when looking for family so that someone else can use them. Please do not hesitate to ask for a transfer.
There are many headstones that are completely erased by time or very hard to read. I will list those as Unknown in the hope that maybe someone will recognize them. I will leave flowers so that they know they were not forgotten.
And for all the Findagrave members, there is a light at the end of the tunnel. I was fortunate enough to have an encounter with my Dad who passed in 1995. While visiting our cemetery, I always stop and check the flowers I had put on the grave. Last time I was there, I was sitting in my car (hot outside) and a brief fragrance came past me. I recognized it immediately. It was the same way my Dad smelled after showering and shaving in the morning getting ready for the office. I have not smelled that pleasant fragrance since 1995.
The latest surprise I had was at Hampton Union cemetery in Hampton, PA. When I got home and loaded my photos on the computer, I had a picture I did not take. It was a complete figure of a person that was translucent. But the odd part was that I was alone that day. It could have been me because my arms are not long enough to take a full body picture and there was no background--no other stones, trees, grass or houses--just white.

Thank you, you're welcome
|R. Victor Shanaman||William Edgar #93747546 & Hattie V. Dietz #93747577|
You placed William Edgar Dietz #93747546 and Hattie V. Dietz #93747577 as being located in Fairview Cemetery. They were placed on line in 2012. However, in 2006 another individual placed William E. Dietz #16434943 and Hattie Dietz #16578530 as being located in Mount Zion Cemetery
Since these people are identical as well as the marker, only one of you can be correct. Please figure this out and leave only the correct ones behind.

I just sent a request for some changes to Charle's memorial before I read your bio. I would love to take him over if he is not your relative. I would love to add your picture on his wife to my records. Would you give me permission to save it and then place it on all the other people on it?? Thank you so much for all you do.. Barbara
