|Chuck X||2nd Blackburn Update|
Located Linn Dale Blackburn, Robert's brother,1 June 1934 - 11 September 2007, buried in Old Bokoshe Memorial Gardens, Bokoshe, Le Flore County, Oklahoma. Buried as just 'Dale Blackburn', but with same parents listed in obit as Robert. Checked Find-A-Grave and he is here, entered in 2007 by the same people who entered his brother Robert's memorial. Dale is # 21554825 on the site.
The 1940 Census lists him as 'Linn Dale', but apparently he didn't go by that, just 'Dale'.
I've sent a link request to the memorial holders, but as yet haven't heard back from them, even on my request to link Robert (Bob) Blackburn, his brother, that I made on March 30.

Hi Catie & Will.....
About a year & a half ago, we were corresponding on the Blackburn Family, in particular Robert 'Bob' Blackburn (1936-1983). I located him in Riverside County, California, he is buried in the Coachella Valley Public Cemetery out there. I came across the SSDI record for him while looking for someone else. I then checked Find-A-Grave for that cemetery, and wouldn't you know, he was listed some time ago there, back in 2007. His Memorial # is 21219268 if you'd like to look. I've linked Florine to him, and his daughter Teresa Joanne to him, and today sent a request to the memorial holder to link him to his parents, Charles & Hazel, who are buried in the Nevada Cemetery in Tipton County.
It appears the Blackburn Family left Missouri in 1937 and made the move to Tipton County at that time. This is partly why I had trouble sorting this out. I do know Bob left the area at some point in time after Florine's death, probably after his daughters Shelia & Becky married the Buckley brothers in 1975 & 1976. We had heard that he may have gone back to Missouri, but apparently he went to California, maybe taking his son Randy with him. I then recalled that my late wife (Florine's younger sister) had told me once that Bob and Florine had gone to California a few times in the 60s & 70s to see the Indy-car race at the Ontario Speedway out there. In fact, the picture of Florine I posted on her memorial was taken there, at the speedway.
I still don't know where the 3 surviving children are (Shelia, Becky, Randy), but still looking. The youngest daughter, Teresa, died in Florida in 2004, and that's still a mystery.
I also can't yet find Bob's older brother, Linn Dale Blackburn (b. 1934) or what became of him. A few of Bob's other siblings, Mary Sue (1938-1938, infant), Marjorie Maxine (1940-2013), Jerry (1942-1990) and Debe S. (1954-2013) are listed as links in their parent's site. There are probably others, but I don't know who they are.
I don't have any photos of Robert 'Bob' Blackburn to post, in fact I only saw the guy a few times in the early 70s before Florine died.
Anyway, that's my update as of now. Thought you'd like to know.

I was sure I had a couple in the situation I described, but it was Henry and Nettie McCubbins, Not the James Bays.
They, the McCubbins, both died on Feb 20, 1891.
I somehow got Henry's SAC onto your memorial.
I'm glad that it was so awfully wrong or you were paying attention, or both. What's scary is that the date I calculated was halfway plausible for James Bay.
I owe ya,

I already had the obit. I think we're good.
Thank you - I will copy the info. Find A Grave is not letting me access the memorial right now.

Don and Gladys Martin are my grand uncle and aunt. He was my grandfathers Fred Martins brother. Would you mind transferring him (91867186) and Gladys (11868525) to me Morris Stillabower (47604381)? I want to tie them to their families. Thanks!
