I pursued old-fashioned genealogy in cemeteries, libraries, and courthouses for several decades and communicated with fellow genealogists by mail and telephone. Am now reveling in internet research, digital photography, and email. The latter make researching fifth cousins twice removed much more feasible, if not sensible.|
Find A Grave is a wonderful resource, and I decided to say thank you for the work of others by entering records from local cemeteries. Many thanks to Ione Sweers whose notebooks on the cemeteries of Anderson County and Dorothy Kipper Lickteig whose abstracts of newspapers in ANDERSON COUNTY EARLY GLEANINGS and ANDERSON COUNTY KANSAS CEMETERY BOOK make this easier.
If I have created a memorial for one of your close relatives and you wish me to add information or link them to parents or spouses, just let me know. If you request a transfer, please follow Find A Grave guidelines.
You are welcome to use my photos in your family genealogies, post them on Ancestry, etc.

|Jackson INGenWeb||RE: Peter Johannes|
Maybe, although the stone for Peter Johannes is not even in the same section as his wife's, let alone side by side or nearby. I did copy images of the burials of the Johannes family from the microfilm that the LDS took back in the 80s, and sure enough, no Peter. I might drop by the cemetery office the next time I'm up that way and see if they have an explanation. Thanks again for your input.

Thanks for that update. I have removed birth and relationship info from The Holy Cross/St Joseph memorial. I'll revisit that memorial at Holy Cross as to whom that might actually be. Thanks again for the input!
|Bev Mundy||Susan Cutsinger Russell Edit|
Susan is already linked to Alexander Robinson as a spouse, and has been for quite some time. You may want to delete your edit because if I accept it, it will duplicate. I did once in the past and that is what happens.
|The Real McCoys||William Blessing|
I received your edit for memorial 21329061 concerning middle name change to Carl instead of Carrl. His death certificate is the documentation I used for the memorial. I understand they aren't always accurate, so wondering what documentation you have for the change. The double R is unusual for sure!
Finally found what you were talking about. They are deleted. Which Stoneking are you descended from?

|Deatra White||The picture you took|
I would like to thank you very much for taking such a nice photo of my grandpa's headstone (Claude Raymond Lewis) and placing it on find a grave. I know it can be difficult to get such a good picture and I truly appreciate it. Sincerely, Deatra
Did find an obit of the daughter of Gladys Shofner
in Cumberland county if you are related.

Dates are different, don't think it is the same person.

Thank you for the correction! Rose was my aunt. But, I didn't create the memorial for John. I did put through an edit to correct his dates and place of death. I wondered why CA did not have a death record for the doctor!
