|Amber Brosius||Harry Henry Stroesser|
I was wondering if you might be willing to transfer management of my great-grandfather's memorial to me? (Harry Henry Stroesser, #77208334.) Or, if you would prefer to keep management, could you add the following bio? Thank you.
Harry Henry Stroesser was born 18 Oct 1878 in Heispelt, Luxembourg, under the name Johann Stroesser. How and when he became known as Harry Henry is uncertain. His parents were Peter (Pierre) Stroesser and Barbara Thines. They both had passed away by the time Harry was 14 years old. According to family oral tradition, Harry came to the U.S. in the early 1900s with his sister Clara. She married and settled in Minnesota, and Harry moved to Omaha.
Harry spent the rest of his life in Omaha, working as a carpenter (he became the city carpenter in 1914) and was very active in the labor union. He married Mary Josephine Craig on 8 Sept 1915, and fathered 13 children, 10 of whom survived to adulthood.
He died on 28 Feb 1964.

Thank you for checking the plaques for Calista and Cordelia's names. I appreciate your efforts. At least now I know they really do belong with the "unrecorded dead".

Thank you so much for creating this memorial. Tillie was my father's grandmother. She died before he was born and this is the first time we have ever received any information about her, as all of his ancestral family has passed on. My brother and I are the only known descendants of Tillie. Thank you again!

you have my permission to use the photos in your family tree and on ancestry.
I did look for Abigail and William Barber, however, did not see markers for either. I also did not find Elizabeth Hoag.
