Leah, thank-you very much for the grave stone picture for George Cooley at Prospect Hill Cemetery in Omaha. I appreciate it.

We are always looking for volunteers to help with the project. We have been doing this project 5 or 6 years now. We usually start putting flags out on Tuesday evening or Wednesday before Memorial Day. We try to be done with the project by Friday as the traffic in the cemetery gets quite heavy. We put out 4-5 thousand flags. Then on late Sunday afternoon after Memorial Day we meet and gather all the flags which must then be sorted by size and stored till the next year.
One of the lodge members is an employee at the mortuary and we get assistance from others in locating graves.

We are currently working to identify anyone buried in Westlawn-Hillcrest Cemetery Omaha NE that has served in the military. If you have a loved one entombed there or no of someone, please send us a message. We place flags on the graves for Memorial Day.
If you can send us the names, we will be sure to include them on our list to get a flag.
Thank you for the help with this ongoing project.

Thank you. They're my 3x-great grandparents. Have you had any success in getting back beyond Azariah Lewis (c 1750-1808)? There is an Azariah Lewis, who is shown as being born/baptized at the Goshen Monthly Meeting, Goshen Township, Chester, Pennsylvania on 29 Oct 1743. Parents shown as Nathan Lewis and Mrs. Margaret Lewis. I've always wondered if these were perhaps the parents of 'our' Azariah.
If you or your husband are interested in discussing these lines and what we each know, feel free to email me at ROCKERDAR at aol dot com.

Thanks for dropping a line. With temps at 20 below, I believe the photos can wait. I am enjoying weather 100+ degrees warmer than yours; shorts, t's, and flip flops, and still sweating. :-)
Enjoy the holidays,
