I have moved back to Leon, Iowa in Decatur County. I will continue to work on Decatur County issues. My gggrandparents came to Iowa about 1849. They came to Leon after the Civil War. I enjoy delving into history of Decatur County and its families. I will gladly transfer control of any entry to someone involved with the various families. We have moved again to the Gernand Retirement Village in Strawberry Point, Iowa. Our location has changed, but not my appreciation for Find A Grave.|

|Katie Marie Cox||RE: Woodards|
I just found this site a few days ago and I keeping scanning in old photos to add. I had done some genealogy research a few years back and made my grandfather a book to read about his his family history. I wish I had known about this site before he passed as I think he would have thought it was pretty darn neat. He use to take grandma on long drives through cemeteries around the county to visit relatives graves. Lucky for me I got to go with them on several occasions. I will be home to Leon this weekend and plan to get a good photo of their gravestone to add to the site.
I so do appreciate the work you have done. I think it is great that people are taking interest.
|Katie Marie Cox||Errors with the Woodard Entries for Leon Cemetery|
I am trying to fix some issues on this website. I contacted someone already about trying to change my grandfathers information as they have him listed as Loren Woodard and it should be Lorin Woodard but I have not heard anything back. I am also wondering how to delete a specific entry. It looks like two separate people put my grandmother on here. One person used her legal name (Dainie Marie Woodard) which she was not fond of and we omitted from her stone on purpose. The other person that added her listed by her name on her stone (Marie Woodard). Any ideas on how I can get rid of that additional entry. I have already paid to sponsor and add photos to the Marie Woodard entry and we would like to keep it up. I would be glad to take over the entries for the Woodard family as I am the youngest of the three remaining immediate family members. Thank you for any help you may be able to provide.

Note that I think there is a duplicate listing in the Findagrave index for Jacob John Pfrommer. The grave marker lists John J. Pfrommer 1844-1932. However, the burial records list Jacob Pfrommer 1844-1933. His death date was listed as 2 Jan 1933, so it could be they created the grave marker ahead of time and he lived a few more days? Or maybe the burial record is inaccurate. I've never combined listings in Findagrave, but wonder if that would be possible to avoid confusion.

Thank you so very much for sharing this photo and your time! We have many relatives in St Sebald, but don't have ready access to get photos there.
|Pat Erickson||Thank you!|
Thank you for your assistance with Margaretha Marguardt's Headstone photo.
I've been wondering how to squeeze in an 8 hour drive (1 way) to get the photo. You saved me many miles!

Thank you for letting me know her ashes are not interred yet. I'll leave it as it is as they will be interred at some point.

May I have your permission to use the grave photos for my ancestry site? Thank you for considering this request!
