I love genealogy......and I love visiting cemeteries!
Find A Grave's volunteers have been very good to me both in finding family memorials listed and volunteers providing photos. I truly don't understand why some people want to copyright their photos. My photos are free to anyone who wants to copy them.
I will be happy to transfer memorials I've made to family or friends wishing to maintain the memorial of someone close to them. So, please feel free to ask me!
The majority of my memorials are immediate and extended family. A blue Rose means they are my immediate line. A blue Forget-Me-Not flower means they're extended family.
I maintain the main page and various memorials in the following cemeteries: Alex Cemetery (Grady Co., OK), Gordon Cemetery (Love Co., OK), Laflin Creek Cemetery (Grady Co., OK), Ireton Family Cemetery (Grady Co., OK), Frazier Cemetery (Marion Co., TX), Burkhalter Cemetery (Parker Co., TX), Union Cemetery (San Augustine Co., TX), Camp Nelson Confederate Cemetery (Lonoke Co., AR).
The Alex Cemetery in Grady Co., OK is especially close to my heart since my parents are buried there. I surveyed the cemetery in June 2010 photographing all the stones, documenting the unmarked stones and still continue to strive to find names for the unnamed graves. In a joint effort with Sandi Carter [Oklahoma Cemeteries, Grady County, OK], photos have been placed on that site as well.
As of July 2012, I began a photo survey of the Laflin Creek Cemetery, near Alex, in Grady Co., OK. Those photos are being added to Find A Grave and will be added by Sandi Carter [Oklahoma Cemeteries, Grady Co., OK] to that web site as well.
Sometimes I take many photos, so if you're seeing one on the memorial, I may have more to share. Drop me a line about any memorials. Be happy to chat with you.
