RE: moses
Thank you!! Lovely to meet you, too!! Thank you for the extra eyes on this. I try to be very careful and concise on the info I put on this site.

It seems that I have two accounts on Find-A-Grave and neither one will let me edit anything! I have a note in to have them merged, but I don't know how soon that glitch will be fixed. I will fix the dates as soon as I can.

Glad that you wrote, Jan!!!

Hello cousin. My maiden name is LaCross (Not LaCroix or Cross). Moses was my grandfather. In Rutland we eventually "Americanized" LaCroix and completely dropped the "Cross". It is spelled many different ways. My uncle spelled it "Lacrosse". This certainly does not help when trying to do research online at all, and is downright frustrating at times.

You are right about Rose's death date. I copied the info from the stone onto "Find-a-Grave" instead of going to the death cert., and I know better than to do that. Thanks for the catch! I will try to correct it.... "Find-A-Grave" and I sometimes have a battle of wills.... I rarely win!

Hi! Yah, it can be confusing and maddening trying to get names and people straightened out. When I was initially researching the Cross family in Mexico I saw that there were a couple of them with the same names, I gave up on them because I'm not related and it was confusing.
