Hi, thanks for leaving this virtual memorial at the Mountain View cemetery site. "Bill" was my granduncle, and his mother and brothers are buried in this cemetery (mother: Elizabeth Giles 1859-1942, Brothers John Giles 1887-1961, Thomas Giles 1886-1972). William Giles was born 1890 in Staffordshire England, and immigrated to Canada in 1912. In 1914 he left Alberta to return home to England with his sister Fanny Giles Cresswell and Joe Cresswell, but none of them made it. Besides his family, he left a fiance in Lethbridge; I have the wedding ring he meant to give her.

Findagrave memorial 123775316 for Mrs Forselyn and memorial 123775331 for Forselyn are in error on the stone and so in findagrave. Mrs. Forselyn is my Great Grandmother Cajsa Olofsdotter Nilsson and Forselyn is my Great Grandfather Nils Erik Nilsson. The family took the last name of FORSLIN while they lived in Lindsborg, Kansas. The full vitals for them are as follows.
Cajsa Olofsdotter Forslin was born in Gunnarskog, Varmland, Sweden 2 June 1843 and died on 24 March 1922 in New Dayton, Alberta, Canada
Nils Erik Nilsson Forslin was born in Hanebr, Gavleborgs, Sweden 28 February 1838 and died on 27 August 1915 at New Dayton, Alberta, Canada.
Cajsa and Nils had 6 children: Nils Johan Forslin born 28 Sept 1878, Olaf Forslin born 2 Feb 1880, Emilie Marie Forslin born 5 Dec 1881, August Albert Forslin born 19 Jan 1884, Albertina Forslin born 10 Jun 1885, and Peter Emanuel Forslin (my grandfather) born 30 Mar 1887. All 6 children were born in McPherson County, Kansas, USA.
I had a hard time finding the New Dayton Community Cemetery when I visited Alberta in the 1990's. I was saddened to see all the graves consolidated to a single stone (especially when I saw they misspelled our family name.) I thank you for posting this information to Findagrave. I still have one missing grandchild of Cajsa and Nils that died in Alberta (child of Emilie and Louis Nelson who also lived in New Dayton.) Maybe someday I will find time and money to return to Alberta to find this lost child. Again Thank You for your efforts.
