Bio

I am a graveologist (a grave digger) who studies graveology. Graveology is researching the lives of individuals who lie beneath the headstone and their journey on earth. It's the history, the dash from beginning to end of the folks who now call the cemetery their home.

Graveology investigates human life; accomplishments, hardships, recognition, and even heart aches. By using such tools as genealogy, old newspaper files, books and stories, including the internet, grave ology reveals the secrets beneath these sacred grounds.

As a modern-day grave digger who photographs headstones in cemeteries, I have the opportunity to recognize individuals on Find a Grave, along with all of the other Find a Grave contributors, who are now giving family, friends and even folks, whom we don't know, "their fifteen minutes of fame."

May I salute all the Find a Grave contributors who make this site a great tool for those individuals who are seeking the history of their ancestors. Thank you for the time, effort and dedication you spend in walking the cemeteries photographing headstones ... you are also a graveologist.
