Bio and Links
Bio Photo I am interested in helping others find headstones in the state of Idaho. I'm excited about the Find A Grave concept and will do my best to help others find headstones they are looking for.

I'm a mother of three beautiful, successful young women, a grandmother of FOUR handsome grandsons and a beautiful granddaughter. I've been a legal assistant for 17 years and love my job, I love farming and branding and chasing cows.

My family tree names include: Renz, Martin, Gump, Crowe (Crow), Puckett, Carson, Gans, and others.

Please do not post photos of a birth or death certificate or obit on any of my memorials. I think it ruins the looks of a memorial. If you find an online certificate and want it posted, let me know and I'll link to it.

The Find-A-Grave guidelines will be my guidelines. If anyone has issues with this, please feel free to email me using the one listed.

I've thoroughly enjoyed this website and have 'met' a lot of really nice, helpful people and I look forward to meeting a lot more!

Thanks, Theresa. That's really very helpful. We Carson descendants have recently found that a huge chunk of our genealogy was done improperly by a "genealogist" who was hired to do the work. One of the burning questions is whether or not Ruth Carson had the maiden name Sherman before she married. I was hoping that this Find A Grave record may have proved that she was a Sherman, but now I'm wondering if it does. Your ex-husband may have been under the same mistaken impression as the rest of us that these names were had were accurate. And since we don't know where she was buried, it seems to add even less credence to the Find A Grave record being accurate. Obviously, you are not to blame, and neither is your ex-husband. I'm sure you included all the information you were given, so I think I should probably eliminate this Record Hint as a match for our Ruth. Thank you so much for your quick response!

I'm new to Find A Grave, Theresa, so I don't know exactly how this works. But I'm very curious to know where this particular entry came from. My mother was a Carson, and the whole Carson genealogy, beginning with William Carson (1745-18..) and Ruth Sherman (1754-1831) has come into question - mostly beginning with Wm's parentage. But, in a meeting just this last week, the surname of SHERMAN for Ruth was being questioned - so I was surprised and anxious when I saw your Find A Grave record for her JUST TODAY, validating that her surname WAS SHERMAN. The birth and death dates match exactly with what we had recorded.

So, coming back to my original question: What was your source for this information? And can you email me a copy of it by attachment? (I am guessing that you can see my email address.) I would be MOST GRATEFUL and will pass it on to other family members.

Thank you so much, Kathleen

Thanks for your response. I am a descendent of John Hardison Redd and we are planning a reunion this coming summer. Some cousins wondered if their might be a photo of JHRedd when he married Mary Lewis. Do you have any recommendations for anyone else I could contact?
