I now live in Michigan but was born in Walton County, Georgia.|
On my maternal side, family names include Burgess, Elder, Michael, Fambrough, Lowe and Maxey - primarily in Walton, Oconee, Clarke, Oglethorpe and Greene Counties in Georgia. The families arrived in America before the Revolution. I have several books covering those families and am happy to do look-ups.
My parvenu paternal side arrived from Ireland in the 1850s and 1860s, settling in Harrison, Hudson County, New Jersey. Surnames include Donnelly, Hughes, Casey, McGarrity and Holleran.
I would be happy to help with research in my local area and exchange information about family connections. As most grave sites are in deep snow here in western Michigan November through March, I can be of more help in Spring and Summer.
With a very few exceptions, I am happy to transfer any memorial not of my direct family line. The exceptions are a few very close friends or family members with a special connection.
A message including the word "please" will receive a much better reception.
I owe many thanks to the FindAGrave photo volunteers who have so kindly assisted in the compilation of the history of my family lines.
Happy searching and enjoy the chase!

You welcome and taken care of. I searched for George Featherstone as well for an hour, if he's there he's trying to not be found. Ill stop by the office when I'm around again and see if they can point me to it.

The DOB and DOD do not match the dates on headstone picture. Reference: Find A Grave Memorial # 17303834 for John P Elder. Note: this is a duplicate Find A Grave memorial. The other one is # 17277384.

|Kina Freeland Bryant||Elizabth Sims Porter|
Good morning, my name is Kina and I took the picture of Miss. Porter and Mr. Hannibal Porter. I took the picture of Elizabeth Sims as well. She is to the left of Frona and Hannibal is to the right of Frona. I don't have my paper with me to give the exact spot but the next chance I get, I will put in in the captions for you.
Let me know, if you want me to put Elizabeth picture in for you.

|Autistic Wonderboy||RE: Mary Donnelly at Holy Cross Cemetery|
Maybe someday in the future. The fact is Holy Cross is a great distance from me, and I go as rarely as possible, not just because of the distance, but also because, for a majority of photo requests I, or others, may try to fulfill, there's no headstone. That's why I go as rarely as possible.
