|Lea Head||RE: Saw your note|
Thanks so much.I appreciate your patience. I'll give you a little bit of Carter because the similarities between yours and mine are striking. Mine starts with Charles Carter (1770-1780 SC)and wife Rachel unk. abt 1780 GA to their son, Hiram b. abt 1809 NC and wife Eliizabeth Leach 1811 SC to their children Martha abt 1833, Benj. F. abt 1834, Wiliam abt 1837, Milton M. abt 1839, Mary 10 May 1841 (my husb.'s ggrandmother), Vinson abt 1843 (he went to TX), Elisha 1845, Zachariah abt 1847, America 1852. My Milton M. m. Margaret Conder and both are buried in Nelson Co, KY. Some of their children were either born or moved to Jefferson and Nelson Co.s. Also of interest is that Hiram's brother, Henry, married Sarah Leach. I've never known if she and Elizabeth were sisters but that's my guess for now.
That's it for now. Where was your Milton M. Carter?
Thanks again for everything.........Lea

Hello Julie...I am so sorry that I neglected you for so long! I've slept since then (^^) and just now saw your note to me about the Milton C. Carter grave. Please refresh my memory if you can, realizing of course, that you've also slept since then too! Thanks you so much.

|Leonard Leake||Thank you|
Thank you for letting me know about the merged memorials. I manage the one for Flora mae Litherland Leek but I donot manage the other one. I could not find a way to unmerge them so I have requested Find A Grave to help in this matter. I will let you know what or if they tell me anything.
Do you think her middle name was Madge? That would be odd. I had made it her nickname.
Usually the ones called Madge were Madeline or Margaret, or something close to that.
Let me know.

I gave Rachel a father. I'm sure she is the one whom you asked me to delete the father because he was her brother.
I believe that the man who duplicated all of those memorials in Bennington had some bad links. Then when they were merged, the links became mine!
It's easy to do when they have the same names or reverse their names - like William Frederick or Frederick William.
I wondered also about the twins of Cornelius. They are not on either of the Bennington Cemetery listings on the web site so are probably buried some other place. They also had a daughter Fanny (Smith?) born abt 1872 and a Luella born abt 1877. Do you have any information about them?
I have looked at some of this before because Tryphena was a relative (I think).

Please check the memorials now.
I am not sure who Rachel Dale Fisher is so couldn't make any corrections there.

I'll work on this tomorrow. All of my memorials were duplicated and some of those may have been incorrectly linked. Or it may have happened when they were merged in order to delete the duplications.

I would like to ask you for your permissions to use some of your photos for my ancestry.com family tree.

Thank you, Julie! I appreciate it!
|Bruce and Wendy Linz||RE: John Black|
John Black could be buried in the Memphis National Cemetery as an Unknown U. S. Soldier. MNC has the second highest number of unknown burials of any national cemetery. If you would like I could put a photo of an Unknown marker on John Black's memorial. Please let me know.
