|I would like to transfer all of my non relative memorials to any relatives who are active users of Find a Grave. Just ask. I make mistakes. Contact me with changes, links, etc. My family surnames of interest are Walker, Starr, Sadler, Rumph, Jones, Moreland, Summers, Anderson, Shields, Thiesen, Couper & Traylor.|
You are welcome to use my photos for any noncommercial use (ie post on your ancestry.com or other genealogy site tree- public or private).
Please Note: If you see my photographs on a memorial in a cemetery in Ashe, Avery, Caldwell, or Watauga Counties, it means that all of the engraved markers (as of the date I posted the photos) have been photographed. I always photograph the entire cemetery.
Beginning in 2011, I have completed the photographing (often begun by others) of the following:
Ashe Co., NC: 222 Cemeteries
Avery Co., NC: 22 Cemeteries
Caldwell Co., NC: 27 Cemeteries
Watauga Co., NC: 91 Cemeteries

|Gena||RE: Loyd Snyder Family Cemetery- Watauga Co., NC|
Hello Chet, The location is hard to find on a GPS. From Pottertown Rd. in Todd, NC turn onto Snyder Branch Rd. Go up the road until you come to where you can curve to the left or if you bear to the right it is Stillie Snyder Rd. At that point curve to the left and turn into the next driveway on the right. Looking straight a head there is a very large brick 3 story home with a porch that wraps around. At the top of the hill where the house stands go to the left and the cemetery is on the left inside a chain link fence. This was my grandfather's (Loyd Snyder) land and he started the cemetery. If you have any questions on the relationships of the people buried there do not hesitate to ask. There is usually a gate closed entering into the driveway and if anyone asks you can tell them that Gena gave you the info to record the graves. I live in Maryland and I usually only get down there once a year. My uncle owns the house that is now on the land.
