I am creator of the MullisFamily.org website and every photo I have uploaded I give permission to this site and others to use my photos as long as my watermark stays intact. I do not give permission for my photos to be uploaded to ancestry.com.|
I live in Watauga County, NC and work in Wilkes County, NC. I continuously come across old burial sites. If there are any in this area I need to document, please let me know.
Please do not bother me regarding family links to be added unless you can provide proof. This site is for memorial listings and it is hard to prove kinship links unless through sound genealogical practice.
I have seen so many incorrect links made on this site that it actually hinders research. I am not sure I personally like these family links on FAG. Armchair "genealogists" are making judgement calls without any sources to back it up.
If you upload or send me a death certificate, birth certificate, or an obituary backing up lineage... I will create the links. I am not going to look up the document, unless it is a line I am researching, to verify lineage. I do not have that kind of time.
I will gladly transfer memorials to you if you can prove to me you are a direct descendent of the person in the memorial - this means spouse, child, or grandchild, etc. I may transfer to you if you are doing serious research on that family line. If not, then don't bother me about it. :)

Joe, at last! I am very sorry about your tragic losses. The loss of a child is devastating, and a divorce also takes time to heal...
Unfortunately, of fifty copies I donated those not sold to genealogical libraries in England and U.S., at Union Co. N. C. public library, for example.
Please send your email so I can report truly significant breakthroughs on both Anson and Wilkes counties Mullis branches. Finding clues in my new book, Thomas Erwin of Raleigh searched Archives and came up with details about brothers John and George of Chatham Co. which proves both branches originated with them and in Chatham Co., N. C. NOT ESSEX CO. VIRGINIA as has long been believed--at least since Mable Mullis Matthews' newspaper articles published in 1958. Re: Wilkes Co. branch: Ambrose was born 1776/7 according to his own sworn statement, and likely in Wilkes Co., plus George reported non-tax payer in Chatham on 1781 Co. Tax List.

Joe, what became of you? I've been trying to access MullisFamily.org without success, and have lost previous emails we exchanged.
My book has finally been printed and is available. As you have a lot of experience with our family history, and as a token of appreciation I have for the help you provided me in attempting to locate Mullis allegiance oaths during the Revolutionary War, I want to give you a copy, you certainly deserve it.
I hope this message find you, wherever you are...
