Hello Joan, I'm 100% sure A M Pope is Amanda Matilda "Hooper" Pope that is buried in Olivet Church Cemetery. She was married to John Milton Pope d3/23/1912, who is also buried there; but hasn't made it on "Find A Grave" yet. I have both of their obituaries that was published in the Hickory Democrat. Both articles state they were buried in Olivet Church Cemetery. I will gladly send you the newspaper clippings for their memorials or you can transfer her memorial to me. I am a close descendant to all Popes born in Alexander county. I'm member #48816726 or you can reach me directly at vpopefamily@aol.com. Thank-you very much for all your contributions.

I am sorry about your health problems. Please tell me how to have someone take that photograph when I will get a pop-up message that the photo is already in place? So please tell me how to handle this? Thank you very much.

Me again. I just checked. I have a newspaper article that says the Navy Cross was presented to Chief Gunner's Mate Roscoe A. Eller on 15 Oct 1917 so I would really really appreciate seeing that full plaque. Thanks again.

Find A Grave # 103406758.

Next time you are at Oakwood Cemetery would you please take a photograph of the plaque that is above his grave marker in the photo you previously took? He was a quartermaster in the Navy and it looks like that plaque probably relates to his military service, at least it looks like it. Thank you so much. And thank you so much for the time you give in helping us. It means a lot.

Moore Descendants
Joan, I am a direct descendant of George E. Moore (#74811329) and Flora E. Gillespie Moore (#74811419). I have additional information on the family to put on their memorials. Would you transfer these two memorial pages and the page for Lindsay C. Moore (#74813811), son of George E. Moore, to me (G. Moore #48975024) for updating and maintenance. Thank you for creating these memorials in the first place.

Hi Joan,

Please correct the death date for Henry Turner #73790215.

He was a well-known and prosperous miller on Fifth Creek near Cool Springs. His house and mill site are listed on the National Register.

His 1st wife Margaret (Webb) Turner (1820-1862) and 2nd wife Mary Ann (Mastin) Turner (1834-1916) are buried there also - please link them.

Thanks,
