My name is Brenda Kale Ballard and I started researching my ancestry after my father passed away in 2008. I am very interested in genealogy and am currently in the process of constructing a family tree. |
Please feel free to use any pictures of tombstones that I added to Find A Grave which were taken by me. I feel that if the information provided can help someone find their "roots" it is well worth the effort of uploading the pictures.
If you find errors or duplicates of my memorials, please click on the "Edit" tab on the memorial. Then click on the "Suggest a correction" link on the Edit page. Follow the instructions to submit your correction. If you choose to leave a request for correction or transfer directly on my contributor page, be sure to include the memorial ID # of the memorial to be updated and your contributor ID # if you are requesting a transfer. I will gladly transfer a memorial to immediate family members only. At the time of the request, please identify your relationship with the person you want transferred to you. Many of the memorials I create are people who are either in my husband's tree or mine. Therefore, if you request one of those memorials, I will not be able to accommodate you.
My husband and I love to photograph cemeteries in both Cabarrus and Stanly Counties. Thus far, in Cabarrus County, we have photographed all of Cold Springs United Methodist Church, Saint Martin Lutheran Church, Saint Paul United Methodist , Furr Family Cemetery, Paul Furr Family Graveyard, John Reed Cemetery, and Tucker Cemetery. In Stanly County, we photographed all of Loves Chapel & Loves Grove Methodist Churches, Oakboro Cemetery, Mission Baptist Church, Flat Rock Lutheran Church, and Locust Presbyterian. We love to document the final resting places of those who came before us and hope that this will help others in their ancestry search.
I am a retired teacher who taught school for 30 years in three counties in North Carolina. I earned a BA in Elementary Education with a concentration in Language Arts and a Masters of Education (MED) degree. I also earned my National Board Certification in 2001 as a Middle Childhood Generalist.
I am learning that genealogy can be quite addictive!

I added some a flag and info on his parents and siblings. Will be glad to provide full details or handle this one as you prefer. Martin was my great-uncle.
Did major Daniel and Amy Thornburg have any other children besides Epsey?

I would like for you to transfer #67112206 over to me #48661073. She is my Great Grandmother. Thank you!

Brenda, this is strange. Although her husband is buried at Sharon Memorial Park, I photographed Bernice's grave at Roberta United Methodist in Cabarrus County. She has a double headstone with her husband's name on it there too. I guess it is possible she moved him, but since he has a military headstone at Sharon Park, I am leaving him there. But she must be buried at Roberta, so please move her memorial there.
I was wondering if you could transfer Blanche Cagle's memorial (#141093424) to me (#48630465)? She was my grandmother and it would be nice to have it as some of her family recently passed away that aren't on here and so I can have my family together.

Thank you for the transfers. Check out their obits.
Hello Brenda - I see you are maintaining Latta Pershing Mosteller's page. Are you a relative? He married my aunt Martha Louise King Young Mosteller.

Not sure what is going on with Find A Grave, but I didn't request any changes to memorial other than burial location. Thanks

My apologies ... I just submitted a request to link Clarence to his parents, but accidentally entered the Find-a-Grave ID numbers for his grandparents instead.
