Hi all! Thanks for all the work you do for genealogists around the world.|
Guess it wouldn't hurt to say I'm a low-twenty-something Watauga girl with mountain roots, and I love the cemeteries around my part of the world. I see a lot of them falling to the wayside and that's such a shame. I'm trying to do my part to help with the upkeep, physically and on Find a Grave. As the old saying goes, "The character of a community is revealed in the way it honours its loved ones."
Let me say I submit my photos-- all of them-- to the Internet at large, just please don't put them on subscription based sites UNLESS you are a direct ancestor (and then they're yours even more so than they could ever be mine).
Let me know if you find errors in my transcriptions or biographies or if you want a memorial transferred over to you.

|Mary Lois||Gibson relatives|
Hi, It's me Mary Lois. When I was recently on the the website looking at my Gibson family at the Foy-Gibson cemetery to my surprise I found new memorials had replaced my old ones...and this included the memorial for for your Mary Elizabeth Gibson...so it has a new findagrave number too. Surprise. I was able to talk with the person who posted the new photos (better than mine) and info and she had no idea that the old memorials even existed and is transferring my great grandparents to me...you may need to do the same as the old memorials got deleted somehow. Hope you are doing well, your cousin, Mary
From a man in Ohio with Watauga County, NC roots, thank you for entering the memorial for Larkin Micheal. His grandfather Elihu Watson was my third great grandfather. My mother's family moved from NC to OH in 1921. I have lots of cousins in North Carolina.

|Mr. Turner||Reference Memorial # 39078516|
Memorial # 39078516
I was wondering if you would transfer the memorial referenced above to me. My contributor I.D. is 47004418
Thanks and God Bless.
From being local I think you have his memorial in the wrong cemetery. There is an old Mount Paron Cemetery on the hill behind the new one. I don't think this cemetery came into being in this old (1940).
''Doc'' Watson's grandparents were Tom Watson & Elizabeth Triplett. I think Elizabeth was with Laura Foster when she was passing.
Thank you for all you do.

Thanks for your nice note. We appreciate it. I knew some of the Lamberts down there but I didn't know him. I remember Raymond Lambert, did you know him?
I will make Sam & Glenda reads it.
Again, thanks! Bianca
