For over a year I have tried to fix a lost hotmail account. It has been blocked and it seems no avenue of correcting the problem has worked. Unfortunately, not only have I lost correction, I've lost all my emails addresses of those who have been helping. Please change my address in your account. If you can remember corrections, please help in doing so. Thank you so much. This has been very frustrating.

Friends, you are invited to visit the memorial page for our son
Nathan Peurifoy He died unexpectedly in October 2014 at age 26 from a diabetic coma. In six months I lost my mother and my son.
I am taking a leave of absence from Find a grave for awhile but will be keeping up with edits.
Thank you all for your prayers, friendship and care. It is appreciated.

The life of a person is more than the dash between two dates. It is my hope that the memorials which I create or manage can make the individuals life fuller, even if just linking to family members or adding a few tidbits of information. Researching and including other family information makes them more than graves, they are people. Suggestions are welcome but please submit them using the edit button at the upper right corner of each memorial.
Even when transcribing cemeteries I work hard to link other family members.
I live in the northwestern mountains of North Carolina and have work primarily in cemeteries there. My current focus is Carolina Memorial Park in Concord, North Carolina. There are 30,000 graves but only about 17,500+ listed. I've done more than 4,000 of those. Much of my family is buried there. I am also focusing on Salisbury National Cemetery Annex.

My family can be traced back 46 generations to County Leichester, England. The family is English/Norman. They came to England with William after the Battle of Hastings in 1066. The photo above is my ancestor, Sir Nicholas Purefoy, buried in The Church of St. Michael and all Angels in Fenny Drayton, Co. Leicestershire, England. The spelling of my name is the most rare of the three family groups: Purefoy, Purifoy and Peurifoy. The early Purefoys were in Jamestown, VA long before the Hugonaut movement.
On my paternal side I am interested in the Peurifoy, Purifoy, Purefoy, Scott and Suther families.
For my maternal side are Statons, Stiller's,and Moores (from Stanly Co, NC).
My wife is from the Byrd and Carr families of Duplin County, NC.
You are invited to visit the memorials of my grandmother Lillian Scott Peurifoy, my mother
Hazel Staton Peurifoy
and Father Robert Eugene Peurifoy.

Thanks to all who help with my typo, mistakes and incorrect links. I could not accomplish this without your help.

RE: Salisbury National Cemetery and the Annex
Greetings, Robert,

I cannot tell you for sure but I use the year 2000 as my cutoff point for distinguishing between the Salisbury National Cemetery Annex and the historic one. Like you, I have found lots of misplaced memorials and try to communicate those mistakes as I encounter them but it seems to be a never-ending process. My "go-to" authority for placement is the national VA gravesite registry. It is time-consuming to consult but generally correct.

Best wishes as you work so diligently in these national cemeteries. I admire and appreciate your entries.

All the best,
