|Steve Pruitt||Beulah Annie Barber Lumley update|
My mother is the daughter of Beulah Annie Barber Lumley. Her full maiden name is Ruth Jacqueline Lumley and married name is Pruitt. Her birth date is 9 January 1926. Ethilene is the daughter of Walter Lumley and his 2nd wife Lettie whom he married after the death of Beulah Barber.
My ancestry line includes Shorts also like yours. Beulah Barber's mother was Nora Short born in 1877 in Moore County. Her father was Pleasant William Short and mother was Maryann Telitha Fields.
If you could update the information about my grandmother Beulah Barber Lumley it would be appreciated.

I do extensive research before asking for any corrections and/or additions or links. Have all three copies of the Montgomery County Heritage books; several books of cemeteries in Montgomery County; a CD of Montgomery County cemeteries; a friend who is a very thorough photographer who loves cemeteries; copies of many birth, death and marriage certificate indexes; access to the local Register of Deeds office; and various internet connections to verify my research. Don't forget the OCD complex:-)
I have sent numerous edits to Brenda since I have been a member and did not receive any response since I wanted to ask if she would transfer family memorials to my care. I finally had to call her and make my requests which she graciously transferred. I know she has not maintained the memorials she created (about thirteen hundred) and wanted to see if she would transfer about fifty of the memorials to my care since these were friends, neighbors, coworkers. Sent many edit requests with no results. Called her again and she said to send her a master list and she would transfer. This was six weeks ago and still no transfers to date! May have to call her again about these transfers and ask her about the Haywood Family Cemetery.
My husband was born and raised in Montgomery County and I have lived here over forty years. I do know that the Haywood Cemetery is often referred to as the Haywood Family Cemetery (even in newspaper obits and by local funeral homes). The many Haywood's I have asked say there is only the one Haywood Cemetery but there is a G T Haywood Family Cemetery (currently with only one interment).
I am a stickler for details and think all memorials should contain as accurate information as possible since these were our ancestors.
Thank you for offering your help to me and your many contributions to Find A Grave.

You created Memorial #83177778 for Thurman James Allen on January 9, 2012. Another memorial #71623256 was created on June 19, 2011 by MemoryMaker for James Allen Thurman at Haywood Family Cemetery. I believe MemoryMaker has the name order mixed up (should be Thurman James Allen) and there is no such cemetery as Haywood FAMILY Cemetery (even though there are five memorials listed). I have not contacted MemoryMaker since I think you would be the better person to handle this situation.
I will be going to the Haywood Cemetery this afternoon to check on the other four memorials before I contact the contributor who created these memorials just to make sure they are in the Haywood Cemetery. The contributor (Brenda Haywood) has repeatedly ignored previous communications regarding other memorials (located at Sharon Cemetery in Mount Gilead). Any suggestions?
