After two hard-drive failures, I've decided to convert most of my notebooks to the website and just recently found the website and have been converted! Memorial updates
Thanks Donna,
I think I'm up to date with your additions. Keep up the good work. 50's this weekend, so maybe we will melt the snow.

Wow, thanks for the prompt reply - I didn't think anyone else was up this late! We searched the St. Joseph Cemetery at St. Leon years ago for this tombstone and didn't find it - It sounds like maybe there was a tombstone there at one time but I don't think you can answer the question about an extant tombstone - but I thought I'd ask.
We know that Elizabeth's maiden name was Schuhmacher and of course I'm looking for her parents' names. I doubt if an obituary in 1865 would give this information but you never know.
I will contact the Lawrenceburg public Library and see if they have any more info - I notice they have a Shoemaker family file.

Thanks for your help!! Jim
