I will no longer add obituaries to memorials that I manage unless the name and date of the newspaper is included with the request.

I have been researching various lines since late 1999. Surnames I am searching are Sloan, Weatherly, Nicholson, Harmon, Douthit, Lockhart.
Mostly in southern Indiana.

I travel quite a bit and have been known to check this site it see if photos are needed in the area I am going to be in.

Stop in to chat or ask a question.

Before adding a memorial, you should search the cemetery to see if a record with that name has already been added. (I ALWAYS DO THIS, BUT ON OCCASION, CREATE A DUPLICATE UNINTENTIONALLY) If you find a memorial has been added but has incomplete or incorrect information, instead of creating a duplicate memorial you should use the tools provided to submit corrections/additions via the "Suggest A Correction" link under the 'Edit' tab on the upper right of the memorial.

May I use the photo that you contributed to the Find A Grave memorial for Archibald Hanley, to post on the Vermont Civil War site? 9

You will receive credit for this.
Thank you for your consideration.

This is an addition which I overlooked some time ago, I think when I was being swamped with requests and other things. I am sorry! Bill

I am grateful for your contribution. There is a lot of glare from camera flash on this photo, and the dates don't show well. Would you mind taking another photo of this stone this summer? thanks.

Thank you for the photo of Jack Iverson's marker (#105575302). Would it be Ok with you if I post your photo, with credit, to my family tree?
Thank you,

RE: McCracken Sunset Cem
That is just something I do when I go to find a headstone if there are any others around with the same last name I always take photos of all of them since many times I will get another request asking for other family members. Glad I took those for you on the same day I took the others.

Thank you for all you do on find a grave. You have to be a very caring person to give so freely of yourself to help those of us that cannot get out an do that. I for one an so thankful there are people like you because I cant get out at all anymore. I would like to know if there is any way you would allow me to use your headstone photo on my family tree. I would give you and Find A Grave credit for the photo and all other info as well. I will be waiting for your replay. I will understand no mater what your answer is. Thank you for your time for at least thinking about it. Thanks in advance Jane Hall

RE: Louis Parent
No, Carol! It was my fault! I did get the cert at least a year ago, but have moved twice during that time. Much had been boxed up and not un-boxed. I'm finally somewhat settled, and was just looking over Louis Parent and what I had on him. Wondering if his grandson had moved to that area because of grandpa having lived there long ago.

Thought it was way overdue for me to thank you. I vaguely remember emailing you a thank you, but can never really thank you enough times!

Louis Parent

YOU DID IT! I got the certificate from the government and have shared the news with other family members.

I sure do appreciate your having submitted the info to the
VA. Who would have thought that there were TWO Louis Parents who died in Montana who both served in the Civil War?
