I joined Find A Grave years ago to help me in my genealogical research. Now I've been adding a few memorials of my own to help other people with theirs. Most of these are blood relatives, however distant, or their immediate in-laws. Occasionally I'll add a memorial of an unrelated person whose life I feel especially deserves documenting and honoring. |
If you are a relative or other close loved one of a person whose memorial I've added, please contact me if you'd like me to transfer ownership to you - I feel the deceased would always be better served having their memorials attended to by people who personally knew and loved them, no matter how honorable or respectful my own intentions.
I put everything I know about a person into their memorial. If you see material in a memorial that you'd like me to remove for personal reasons, if you find errors or omissions in a memorial, or if you want me to add more details because you know things I don't know, PLEASE contact me! I only want to help other genealogical researchers, and to honor the memories of those who've passed on.
Last but certainly not least, if you would like me to remove a memorial I've added of your loved one, please contact me and I will do so in a heartbeat. I mean nothing but the utmost respect to the people whose memorials I've added, but that means nothing if the people who knew them best feel violated or insulted by their presence on this site. And once again, if you would like me to transfer ownership of a memorial I've created because you are a friend or family member and can honor them more ably or thoroughly, please do not hesitate to contact me.

|Susan Stewart-Turnbull||Elmer Polk Yarbrough|
Hi. I've been searching for Elmer Yarbrough in order to photograph his grave (and Annie's if I can find it). Neither Hillcrest Memorial Park nor Union Cemetery in Bakersfield, Kern County, has any record of either of those people. Would you share with me where you got the information that either might be buried at Hillcrest? Or Union? I would like to follow up if I can.
Susan Stewart Turnbull
I noticed you left a remembrance on a few of the Manwill's memorial pages. Are you a relative?

|Audrey Nowels||Sophie Rocque Beauchamp #127096943|
My name is Audrey Rocque Nowels and I stumpled on Sophies information you put on her grave. Thank you it is very loving. I'm not sure if she is a relative of mine or not, but she is a Rocque. My Rocques came from France and some I found out went into Canada.
I do genealogy work and have 12000 plus names in my trees. I wish I could say for sure that Sophie belonged to me, but I can't. What makes my ears perk up is her father Jean. My great-great grand father Jean was from France.
Do you have any other info on her?? This has given me a new search.
Thank you I am a contributor to Find a Grave.
Please keep my family in your prayers following the loss of my uncle Franklin Rogers, who passed away yesterday from cancer. If you have time I would appreciate virtual flowers for his Find A Grave memorial 128627148. I am very blessed to have my friends on this site. Thank you,

Find A Grave Memorial# 15994023
Yes I would like a copy of the obit.
I couldn't find another way to write to you
Thanks for your info and time.
I don't know who you are, but after years of searching, I finally found where my grandpa is buried at. Thank you so much for the memorial you left on his page (the flowers). I'm planning to visit his gravesite when I visit Michigan this summer...I think it'll make my dad thrilled, as he doesn't know where exactly my grandpa is buried at (we didn't find out he had passed until a few years after it happened). His name was Dorwin Bonham, and he's buried in Riverside Cemetery in Germfask, Michigan. Again, thank you for the memorial. It means a lot to me.

|C.C.Diamond||ID Military in Westlawn-Hillcrest|
We are currently working to identify anyone buried in Westlawn-Hillcrest Cemetery Omaha NE that has served in the military. If you have a loved one entombed there or know of someone, please send us a message. We place flags on the graves for Memorial Day.
If you can send us the names, we will be sure to include them on our list to get a flag.
Thank you for the help with this ongoing project.
