With the invaluable help of Bob Wheeler, Sharon Daly, Gail Smith and Isabel Weigold I've been collecting photos from cemeteries which contain the gravestones and monuments of people having a connection to the families I'm researching: Maynard, Ashley, Bump, Green, and Johnson are some of those families, mostly from New England and New York, with connections to Sweden on my father's side of the family. I was so excited to learn I had posted the 7 millionth name to findagrave - that of my great-grandfather, August Gustafsson, in Sweden! Both sets of my paternal great-grandparents are buried in the same cemetery - hope you can go and visit.|
Since I am currently living in Central Florida, I post what I can from cemeteries in my immediate area including: Socrum Cemetery, Griffin, Tiger Flowers, Lakeview and Roselawn, all in Lakeland; also, I'm adding mostly photos to pages of the American Legion Cemetery in Tampa, Florida.
I'm gradually setting up some virtual cemeteries, and hope you'll stop by and leave some flowers if and when you have the time.
(Oct. 4, 2006 - My father, Alf H. Gustafson died August 21st at the age of 90, and the day after we returned from his memorial service(s) in Connecticut I created a page for him at the State Veterans' Cemetery, Middletown, CT. He and my mother each have a page there now, and I'm so relieved knowing they are together again for eternity. Their pages are such a source of comfort for me, and I hope for other family members also - and virtual flowers will be so welcomed...thank you all.)
EVERY morning I drink coffee from a findagrave mug - I just realized it's no longer available in the findagrave catalog, so that probably makes it a collectible!
If you want me to respond to a message, please make sure you include the name of the cemetery, as well as the location, by which I mean the city/town and the state! Please be aware I have no personal info or contact with family members, except my own, of course!

This is a long shot, but do you happen to know any of the children of Carl and Lucy Anderson who are buried in Socrum Cemetery? I know they had a daughter named Rosemary. An artifact belonging to their grandfather, Swan Anderson, has just been put up on ebay for sale. If you can be of any assistance, please contact me at email@example.com. I'm sure that the descendants would be interested in this document, listed as Belt Montana Territory 1887 Swan Anderson rare document.

Hello - I just found that someone created a second memorial after yours had already been created. #94777540. This memorial is connected to his family but you, of course, has his name spelled correctly and you have photos of his stone. I hope you can get the other person to delete the memorial so it's not duplicated.
Thanks. - Janet

I forgot to add that the cemetery is Socrum Cemetery.

Thank you so much for all you have done and continue to do. You are providing a wonderful service to us all.
My father-in-law is (was) Ollie Ray Ellis. The entry lists the year of his passing as 1966 but it should be 1996 (as it shows in the photo). Is there a way to correct this?
|Ms. Hicks||Contribution of Augustus D. Saxon & Family|
Thank you, Thank you, Thank you Karlynn!! One million times Thank you. Augustus D. Saxon is my 2nd great grand uncle. He left a town in South Carolina called Blackville in the 30s. I knew he went to Florida, but never imagined finding where he or any of his children may have died. This grave represents 1/3 of the family. This is an amazing find. Thank you again!!
|David Thomas||Ernest Elroy Stevenson - 9603613|
Ernest is buried in the Indian Spring cemetery (plot 259) which is in Charlotte Co., Florida.
Ernest Elroy Stevenson is my wife's great-uncle. Her great-grandparents and Ernest's parents were Celesta Isabel Newton and John W Stevenson.
Would please transfer Ernest Elroy Stevenson (9603613) to us?

|David Zumbaugh||Roger Tory Peterson|
I would like to use your photo of Roger Tory Peterson's grave stone for a short biography I am writing about him. This article might get published and if so, I would include your credit as the image copyright.
I look forward to your response.
Ronnie L. Howk born 2-22-1950 died 3-12-1959 Buried Socrum Cemetery, Lakeland, Polk County, Florida. It says you created the page. in note- Family links there is Kenneth Anthony Mattern as son of Ronnie.
When I clicked on Kenneth's name it took me to Saint Joseph Cemetery, Menashe, Winnabego, wisconsin Memorial 75988601. That info needs to be removed from Ronnie's page. Since it says you created Ronnie's page, I thought you could remove Kenneth from Ronnie's page. Hope this makes the subject a little clearer.
